Appendectomies through the mouth?

I'm all for less invasive, less scar-producing surgery, but --

It would actually be easier from the other end. Anyone who knows what a colonoscopy is can relate. A Total colonoscopy goes right to the appendix. Interesting thought. I wonder if would ever catch on?
