What are your hobbies? What do you love to do? What takes up your money, your time, your passion?
Clodfobble • Apr 28, 2007 12:01 pm
Kids and audio, audio and kids.

Oh, and home improvement projects. ;)
Ibby • Apr 28, 2007 12:03 pm

to a lesser extent, art, politics (gay rights is my real passion in politics, my pet issue), and attention.

TV, Computer Games, Tapecraft, Photography, and Woodworking.
Cloud • Apr 28, 2007 12:20 pm
tapecraft. Wow, that's quite cool, and something I'd never seen before.
TheMercenary • Apr 28, 2007 12:22 pm
My passion is my work.

The other is Rugby.

1701 A.D. is a fun one to play.
Elspode • Apr 28, 2007 9:20 pm
1. Music - making it, listening to it, acquiring the tools to play and record it. I like music.

2. My yard. Fuckin' thing is trying to kill me, but I love it.

3. Movies. I love movies. I have a ridiculous number of DVDs and I would gladly spend $6k on a 60" plasma screen if I could.

I wish I had one of those! How big do you think the plasma TV was in back to the future?
Ibby • Apr 28, 2007 9:36 pm
Happy Monkey, looking at those DC pictures... I missed you by only a day, I think. I was in DC for the blossoms on... I can't remember if it was the 31st or the 1st, which day was the big kite shindig?

duck_duck • Apr 28, 2007 10:34 pm
In that case you won't like it. It's more of economic empire building game.
Jeboduuza • Apr 28, 2007 10:39 pm
the only game like that that i have enjoyed is civilizatio 3 and civilization 4. i was addicted to civ 3, like, 10 hours a day. but now i dont have the time to get addicted to civ 4 but im sure i could if i had the time. but yeah that empire building game is da ish
duck_duck • Apr 28, 2007 10:45 pm
I'm a civilization 4 addict myself. That is one of the most interesting games I have ever played.
Since you like FPS games you should be happy to know half life portal will be out soon. I don't normally like FPS but that one looks fun.

Duck duck, if you like cooking, you should post a favorite recipe or two in the food forum. I'm slowly growing to like cooking, but I'm still mediocre at best; always looking for new things to try.

I'm not sure... I don't keep up with local events all that much. I hope you enjoyed DC.

I like shopping ,and I like raising a dog.Hmm ,I like playing computer !
Undertoad • Apr 29, 2007 11:29 am
Civ 4 is the greatest computer game ever conceived. But I'm Battlefield 2'ing right now. Jacquelita bought me the game and is sad that it turned out to be like giving a crack addict a free batch of new crack.
freshnesschronic • Apr 29, 2007 1:52 pm
I have Civ 4 too. I don't know, didn't find it as compelling as Civ 3. Do I just not have enough time as well? In high school I played Civ 3 like everyday after school, first thing when I woke up on Saturday and the rest of the weekend.

Got Civ 4 in college, but never got into it. Why...Was it..college? Or Civ 4.....
Ibby • Apr 29, 2007 5:56 pm
Civ 4 = love.
monster • Apr 29, 2007 7:17 pm

My first thought is, who wouldn't want to combine two things they love, but the reality would be rug burns, and OSHA takes the fun out of everything.
Cloud • Apr 29, 2007 10:29 pm
rug burns hurt. a carpet installer taught me that.

I\'ve been meaning to but the only problem is when I cook I never measure anything, I do it all by sight.

I'm a band junkie, and a total computer nerd. =)
jester • Apr 30, 2007 12:50 pm

Hime • Apr 30, 2007 1:45 pm
Dancing is my passion. I also love literature/literary criticism, punk rock, and random craft projects and cooking, but I have to go with dance as the one I would quit my day job for if I could.
SteveDallas • Apr 30, 2007 2:06 pm
Music. Ancient Egypt. Astronomy.
limey • Apr 30, 2007 2:49 pm
Music (making it, listening to it).
Knitting (just got back into this after a long break).
Reading travel books.
Interacting with people.
Dagney • Apr 30, 2007 2:59 pm
My biggest passion is my artwork. Not working allows me to spend hours in my studio playing with my paper and inks. It also is giving me the incentive to finally start my own small business. (Anyone need a Mother's day card? :) )

I also am in lurve with my camera, and spend time playing with it every day. The Hubby is teaching me some of the finer points of Photoshop, which is allowing me to make good pictures better.

The garden, both veggie and flower, and the critters. For not working, I sure am a BUSY woman!
Cloud • Apr 30, 2007 3:08 pm
dancing is a fine passion, Hime. What kind of dancing do you do?
elSicomoro • Apr 30, 2007 3:10 pm
I love wine and going to wineries, but April and I haven't gone to any recently. There are like 9000 of them within an hour's drive of St. Louis.

I enjoy walking, but haven't done a whole lot of that recently...I'm trying, though.

I love music...listening to it, not playing it. I'm not sure exactly how many CDs we have any more...I just bought 3 Saturday. I'm also slowly starting to build a DVD collection.

Cloud • Apr 30, 2007 3:20 pm
yay, another belly dancer! I've been doing it since 1975, but never got past intermediate. No matter--I do it for myself.

yay! :)

I've been dancing since about 2001. I'm pretty much an intermediate too.
elSicomoro • Apr 30, 2007 3:25 pm
I had a friend that was planning a belly dance school in the Baltimore area, but I don't know if she actually ever started it...I haven't talked to her in about 3 or 4 years.
Cloud • Apr 30, 2007 3:57 pm
I've seen it go in and out of fashion several times. It's really at an upswing now, with several very different styles being created and danced. Being a tattooed and pierced lady myself, I love the newer tribal and gothic styles. Rachel Brice is a goddess!

I've recently purchased several performance and instructional dvds.

Belly Dance Superstars at the Folies Bergere is my favorite.

reading, writing, programming, fitness, and I've just been rooked into contra dancing (Glen Echo), which is so much fun I can't believe it's legal.
