Are we gonna try to break the record?
"Most users ever online was 1,541, 04-21-2006 at 07:44 AM."
On the anniversary of the record, lets see if we can pick a time frame for EVERYONE to be on at once.
We should use the winning time, since it worked once. that time works for me--I'm in Central, which makes it 8:44 am
If I were working the whole night before, I'd make it...but I'm not working that night.
I'm too brain farked to figure out what that is my time.
I don't blame you--you're in Australia and I wouldn't want to figure it out.
it's whatever time listed at the bottom of the main screen for the "most users ever online" reference-- if you have your time set up in your profile correctly
It's gotta be from the foam - That's the day after I joined and its from the foam I found this place to begin with.
Of course, UT will have to help by posting an especially Fark/Slashdot/Digg/etc-worthy IOTD...

Doable, its a Sunday morning.
we'll never beat it on purpose. there's really only about 50 of us that pay attention consistently. In my opinion. and that's a generous estimate.

Includeing sock pupets ???
Most of them were guests. There are times where we have over 1,000 guests so I don't think you can control that very much.
don't forget the spiders and spies - they count.
well.. if you could get those 'this is not porn' people to all log in I think there might be a chance.
What if both Kagen and I post some new pics at the appropriate time?;)
We could use some imaginatively placed foam to commemorate the occasion...
Its...just....so............
What is the point of knowing the most people logged on at one time?
Not looking promising. Oh well, there's always next year.:)
Not looking promising not because we can't but because the server can't - for some reason it's getting a load average of 36.00 (Unix/Linux heads will know) and there are only 1200 visitors. I thought moving the database to the other system would fix this, but apparently there's still too much load on the main system. Maybe it's a little hosed and needs a reboot...
Only 36 loads? Hell, I've taken more than that in one night! hahahaha
urk...I didn't want to know that.. (mental pictures begone!)
