I used to have a ceramic one with no hair, designed to be used as a planter. I of course filled it with kerosene-soaked socks and gave him orange hair instead of green.

Alas, he fell off a table and died. Luckily, no forests were lost.

This thread title keeps making me laugh.
Every night as we are clearing away dinner things, Dad excuses himself "to see Bob"

This means he is off for a wee.

It comes from a children's TV quiz show called Blockbusters, where the panels on the board were identified by letter - the letter the answer started with. For many years, it amused the kids (and the audience at home) when someone asked, "Can I have a P please, Bob?"
It lasted long enough to amuse us into our late teens when someone asked, "Can I have an E please, Bob?"

So, forgive me Bob, I know not what I do.

Bob! I forgot about Bob. He was an icon at Aldus - back when there was an Aldus. He got used a lot as a test graphic.

Bob owns The Cellar, you know.

Or he did for a bit, back in the mid to late 90s.
