Anyone ever watch that? Tonight show was in UK. Small wonder the Brits are known for a stiff upper lip. I understand he eats weird shit for the show, but!
I thought rednecks and coonasses eat some weird things.

I love that show!! I am so used to the typical tv cooking show host that does the orgasmic rolling the eyes back thing when they taste something that is akin to dog poo! This guy will taste it and look into the camera and let you know if he thinks it is nasty!
At the same time, he will also compliment the dishes he enjoys while admitting that it may be an odd item, but it is something he likes.
I'm not sure I could eat brains, but it is one of the dishes he likes....ghhhuugghh

From his website:

What Andrew Ate

* Haggis (lung, liver and sheep heart steamed inside stomach)
* Pheasant
* Oatmeal cake stuffed with haggis
* Partridge with chanterelles
* Heather honey ice cream
* Whelks
* Cockles
* Laverbread (seaweed paste)
* Jugged hare (rabbit)
* Christmas pudding
* Beef pie and mash
* Stewed eels
* Fish and chips
* St. James cheese (washed rind, unpasteurized)
* Ox heart with bone marrow
* Herring roe on toast
* Pigeon
* Raw scallop
* Jellied eels
* Zugenwurst (beef tongue with head fat and blood)
* "Stinking Bishop" cheese

All seems quite normal to me :)
Except Zugenwurst - never heard of it.

Okay, haggis does sound grim when you describe it that way, but think of what goes into poor quality chicken nuggets, or sausages....

Pie & Mash shops are heaven. That's where I'll be headed as soon as I move back to London (and Brick Lane for bagels).

No. Don't. Haven't you read Upton Sinclair?! Ewww.

And the haggis I've had did sound far worse than it tasted.
