I think we need the gardening and lawnmowing at least.
I don't think we need vomit in blue, and yellow too.
Do we need mecry and bawling also?

Oh, and we don't need busters 5th one.

Here's the deal, I have worked very hard to keep all of our smilies in one "species". They're the same size and almost all the same style.

:blunt:  :biggrinlo :driving: :smashfrea :ivy: :censored:

There are a few that are slightly different because vBulletin pushed in some smilies with light gradients:

 :p :o

I noticed the change when I installed vB3, but I figured they were close enough and actually looked good, so I left them.

Three other smilies are not of the same "species":

:doit: This comes from a different family of smilies. It was too useful not to include.

:bass: There is only one real bass player smilie on the whole net. As we know bass players are a different species anyway, so no big deal.

:corn: This guy is from a different family that puts the eyes together and makes them a little more human, and uses more animation, particularly of the face. But he's close.

If you look you can find smilie sets for all kinds of other things. I believe that some large cos (AOL, maybe Yahoo?) developed their own set of smilies with their own style. My theory is, we should not allow too many of these inferior species to infect our smilie population and pollute the purity of our crew. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
BigV • Mar 30, 2007 10:42 am
smilie eugenics and racial purity. sweet. something else to worry about.

Actually, I have recently been in need of an olive branch smilie. I don't remember seeing one suitably close to that concept, but I may have overlooked it. If you're out there shopping, may I add this request to your list please?

Thanks.

Just in case you wanted this to become a smilie request thread.... I'd quite like a shush smilie. Kinder than saying shut up.

BTW the bass player smilie is actually a UT smilie
so if I could have a Sundae smilie too please
Shawnee123 • Mar 30, 2007 11:13 am

I don't wish to be insensitive, perhaps you've had a double mastectomy or you're a man.... but... presuming you're adequately equipped, all you need to do is follow my earlier advice.
Shawnee123 • Mar 30, 2007 2:59 pm
So you mean like, I can see my boobs and smile any time I want to? I don't look, I'm shy.
busterb • Mar 30, 2007 7:35 pm

xoxoxoBruce • Mar 31, 2007 2:16 am

Any chance of getting an old Soviet Union flag on there, Tony? I want to display my Commie pride.
Undertoad • Mar 31, 2007 2:10 pm
If you build it, or find it, I will add.

I'm confused about "behead" .. what exactly are you chopping the head off of?

:behead:

This has been done WAY to death, but some are actually funny (though I fear, which ones are funny vary per person.) I got them from over yonder.
zippyt • Apr 4, 2007 2:20 am

Happy Monkey • Apr 4, 2007 12:59 pm
Am I the only one seeing a giant "NO HOTLINKING PLEASE" in the place of about half of the smilies?

I was trying to work out a tricky way to prevent hotlinking of images, but for a moment ALL images on the site were re-written to be that image. If you browsed an image during that time, the "no hotlinking" image may be cached.

Sorry
Happy Monkey • Apr 4, 2007 1:05 pm
Cool. That's fixed it.
glatt • Apr 4, 2007 1:59 pm
Thanks guys. Got it now.
