Puzzling

Someone gave me a box of off the wall stuff for Christmas, One of the items was a jigless, jigsaw puzzle, called Scramble Squares. Just 9 pieces to lay out in a 3x3 grid. I looked at it and thought ho-hum this ought to take 3 minutes, tops, but fortunately didn't say it out loud.

It's been sitting on my desk, unopened, until the other day somebody said, "I'll call you back in 5 minutes." Great I'll whip this sucker together and that'll help clear off the desk. They didn't call back for 8 minutes....... it wasn't enough.

We have several variations of this puzzle. Drives the kids nuts

I used to work in a puzzle factory, not that that's relevant to anything. Most common work injury was trapped nipples.

How the hell close to you need to be to the machines?
Or was it just a personal thing?

We used to box the puzzles -fastest way was to close one edge then prop that against your body while you did the other.....
