It's the weekly Cellar IotD/Neatorama collaboration!

Drawers are where we keep our stuff. What happens when the drawers fail us because of events larger than the drawers?

Blogger Arbroath features this item, an interesting art piece, interesting art being an IotD staple. From the entry:

Floodwall is artist Jana Napoli's responseto Hurricane Katrina, which she lived through in New Orleans. It consists of hundreds of empty drawers, salvaged from trash heaps in flooded neighbourhoods.

Napoli says she had to empty the drawers of ruined, wet clothes before she collected them.

The exhibit is now on display at the Liberty Street Bridge, a pedestrian bridge that connected the World Trade Center to the World Financial Center across the West Side Highway.

Be sure to visit Neatorama for more neato items every day!
