Is it me or did anyone else think the refs, commentators and all were biased against the Eagles? I don't think they should have won anyway the way the Saints kept running all over them, but . . . ?
If the Eagles had won they'd last another week, that's all.
I know that Bruce - I'm not surprised they lost at all, but even in the first 1/2 my son was even mentioning that things seemed very one-sided" I agreed - just wondering if it was just us - ya know being from the Philly area and all.
The Saints remind me of the early AFL teams, razzle dazzle everywhere at once, who's on first style of ball.:rollanim:
It's happened before. Remember after 9/11 all the calls went New Yorks way. Same thing for the Saints first game after Katrina. If stuff like this is intentional or not I don't know. The refs are human and even if they are trying to be unbiased who's to say what their subconscious is doing.
Maybe the refs were feeling intimidated by the crowd.
Oh, wait, they didn't play in Philly.....nevermind.:haha:
The calls did seem to go against the Iggles. What lost them the game (probably) was the horrendous play that was called on thrid and 2 at the 4 yard line (or something like that), where they lost yardage.
Pet peeve: there's only 1 referee on a football field - the other officials have different names, like umpire, line judge, side judge, and field judge.
