So... how exactly does the RIAA go about suing folks?

I was reading some old threads about file sharing and I wondered does anyone know anyone who was prosecuted for downloading? How many downloads did the person make? how were they caught? at what point is it not worth pursuing for the RIAA?

When a daddy lawyer and a mommy lawyer court each other,
the daddy lawyer and the mommy lawyer sometimes take off their legal briefs.
When that happens, the daddy lawyer puts his habeus corpus in the mommy lawyers corpus delicti...

Considering they have attempted to sue people who have not actually owned computers as well as at least one dead person, I would say never. This blog has a lot of legal-ish info about different cases.

It doesn't matter who gets sued, as it isn't about justice...it is about instilling fear.
