Hall of flame

marichiko • Dec 11, 2006 11:04 am
I feel the Hall of fame thread should continue to serve its original purpose. I also agree with No Boxes, that when struck by the inspiration to flame in the middle of a normal thread, the flame should be posted down here with a link to it, so others reading the thread can carry on their original conversation or thread drift or whatever.

I'll go first:

Bye.

Somehow, I have the feeling she'll be back.

the cellar won't die because of this. it will become less enjoyable for awhile as the more mild mannered posters choose to back away for a bit. but they won't go away. if you look at old threads you'll see that there is always someone who is drawing the ire and flames of other posters. Marichiko happens to be the only one i'm aware of that has done it for more than two years straight, was banned, came back and is still a magnet for hostility.

So, howcome at one point,YOU sent me a PM asking me to come back? Damnit, Lookout, if you're going to tell the story, tell the ENTIRE story.

PS Glatt, I'm deciding what to do at this point. I expect to be banned any second, anyway.
lookout123 • Dec 11, 2006 11:45 am
now take a deep breath and reread what i just posted. please cite the area that said "marichiko should fuck off and die, i wish she were banned right now?" i made a statement. i believe it to be a statement of fact but folks who have been here a lot longer than us are free to correct me. you, however, are not free to play the martyr and pretend my post was another attack on you. THAT right there is what pisses some cellarites off about you. you are a freaking martyr.

that being said, you are right i did send you a PM once telling you to come back. it had nothing to do with your being banned, though - i was dealing with RL stuff then. i don't save my PM's so i can't quote it here, but i believe it was after one of your little fits where you stormed off in a huff and said you weren't coming back. i think i told you to calm down and come back when you are able to post in a way that isn't designed to draw flames. i have a tendency to do that. another cellarite who has the ability to piss me off like no other had an extended absence and I PM'd her telling her to come back. not because i like her or agree with her ideas, but because one of the things i like about the cellar is the fact that there are so MANY ideas. if you've got ideas - share them. if you are just looking for drama or inspiration to support a martyr complex expect to get ripped on or ignored. that is the way of life.

that is exactly what i'm fucking talking about. you are the only person here i've seen repeatedly practically BEG to be banned. are Tony and LJ right in their attacks on you? i don't know, or really care. but your response is always the Woe is Me, what did i do variety. STOP! if you would just shut up about this shit and post about the subject matter of threads this wouldn't be an issue.
9th Engineer • Dec 12, 2006 12:40 pm
Do you guys REALLY want to give her another thread where she can bitch and moan about everything?:eyebrow:
yesman065 • Dec 13, 2006 8:49 am
Sometimes containment is a good idea - 9th.
DanaC • Dec 13, 2006 9:39 am
It's something of a moot point now anyway.
yesman065 • Dec 13, 2006 1:45 pm
Yeah - I just found out - I have no idea why, but . . .I guess thats another thread for another day.
Sundae • Dec 13, 2006 2:02 pm
Well the Hall of Flame was set up for anyone who wanted to be mean, to anyone.

I'd love to continue this with a potentially fatal Backdraft style flame of my own, but it's not really my style. Unless I can use it to bitch & moan about people you don't know...?

Like the reVOLTing man behind me on the bus this morning who by the sounds of it was enjoying breakfasting on his own snot. Sniffing I can cope with - hawking it back up your nose...... NO. He's damn lucky I contented myself with making faces he couldn't see instead of walloping him with my umbrella.

You stupid lowlife snot-eating antisocial ill-mannered worthless piece of student crap. I hope all your children have small penises. Even the girls.
yesman065 • Dec 13, 2006 10:20 pm

lookout123 • Dec 13, 2006 10:21 pm

capnhowdy • Dec 14, 2006 8:08 pm

She was banned, and still is. Look at the dates of the posts. This thread is old.

Is this like the 'thrid eye emoticon? :3_eyes:

Do only the truly enlightened know for sure it's meaning?

Can we have some discriptive terminology for some of those emoticons?

The earth one I do not get, destiny, yeldead, laobsta. Please use those in context of a post? Can we gave an emoticon class 101 for us dummys like me?

Can we have different ones too and while you are at it Alphabetize them?

If anyone wants to post the 'Im with stupid' on this. Please feel free to do so now.

Earth is where we live, destiny is the goddess of fate (or a member of a musical group that I don't listen to ever), yeldead is both yellow and dead, and lobstah is damn tasty. LobWTF is a close cousin, and actually an IOTD rather than a WTF.
DanaC • Dec 21, 2006 1:26 pm
I still don't get how those emoticons relate to a post....
Sundae • Dec 21, 2006 1:38 pm
 - sunburn
 - anal probe
:worried: - DTs
:whofart: -ptosis
:weird: - night of the living boogers
 - necrophiliacs' delight
:reaper: - cheap gardener
:shocking: - an epileptic lawsuit waiting to happen
 - hayfever
:fingerx: - teenagers' favourite contraception
:dedhors2: - a Spanish festival
glatt • Dec 21, 2006 2:00 pm
These are all funny, but this is my favorite.

context.
DanaC • Dec 21, 2006 2:45 pm
I know....I just don't get what context would involve being both yellow and dead....I am probably being incredibly dense. It's been a tough day :P
wolf • Dec 21, 2006 2:51 pm
I think that it just happens to be yellow. Real dead usually involves being sort of ashy gray, unless you've really been dead for a while, which involves some browns and greens and such.

yeldead also probably distinguishes the smiley from gratefuldead.
DanaC • Dec 21, 2006 3:00 pm
