Virtual Christmas Caroling: A Cellar video collection

Turn on your camera and start singing. Get it up on Youtube before you chicken out. Post it. Do it now. Extra credit for wearing scarves, mittens hats, hoding candles, sipping hot chocolate. extra extra credit for standing outside in the cold while you film it.

Does it count if I film my kids doing it?
fargon • Nov 21, 2006 3:27 am

Elspode • Nov 21, 2006 12:25 pm

footfootfoot • Nov 26, 2006 10:37 am
I like the flashes of light, is that the papparazzi?

Nice one.
lumberjim • Nov 26, 2006 11:17 am
its an effect from the editing software called 'old film'. it has a little line that shoots thru it and graininess too, but its hard to see that in that small a window.

I got tired of trying to make a cool video (I did try, honest - I may submit my failures as a blooper reel some day) and sang straight to camera.

Adeste Fideles was always one of my favourites when I was in the choir, and the penultimate verse is the one which has stuck in my head because that's where the sopranos sing the descant and we practiced it over and over and over.

I can't sing soprano, so have just bellowed the alto part at you in a foghorn manner.

Lookout and DanaC move over. I think we may be ready a sexual tension thread, only XOB is too smooth to have tension.
Sundae • Dec 8, 2006 10:37 am
Nah - it's just business as usual; Bruce is such a smooth operator and all the ladies have a crush on him.

Why I have a note right here on my desk....lets see now...

[COLOR="DarkOrchid"]I love you.
I love only you.
I've never loved any one but you.
I could never love anyone but you.

See that..... and it's addressed to.....

this is sundae girl and i doing The Christmas Song for you dwellars. She was very nice, and agreed to do the song for me, as though i was there next to her. she spent a lot of time doing it, and multiple takes, and deserves big props.

here is the link to the youtube page. if you hit the little button on the bottom right of the viewscreen, you can maximize that window to full screen, and video your self singing along with us. like the RFN thread we did.

cmon. do it.

When I finally worked out how to get the right camera angle and remembered all the words it was the work of moments. Of course it is LJ who deserves any praise because it was his really cool idea which has kept me grinning secretly all week.

Please do join in - even if you are just playing a tambourine, or hitting your head to the beat with a rubber chicken.
footfootfoot • Dec 15, 2006 1:20 pm
You guys are great! I want to get a video thingy.
Trilby • Dec 15, 2006 1:27 pm

chrisinhouston • Dec 15, 2006 5:30 pm
Wow, that was good, great harmony and tempo! Did you have any help? Like a glass of wine before performing? I don't know if I could get up the nerve.
lumberjim • Dec 15, 2006 5:43 pm
just a wee dram of seagrams 7 and ginger ale. not the usual flagon of capn n coke. that is the 5th or 6th i shot all in a row......had to get timing down and decide to sing real low or high......i look like a fag when i sing high....so, i went low. it really is fun to do. i hope someone else will play along with this.
