Is It A Co-winky-dink?

Is it a coincidence that the conservatives have been virtually silent since the election?
glatt • Nov 14, 2006 10:37 am
Just wait until the Democrats screw up.

kinda reminds me of The Taliban melting back into the mountain caves of Afghanistan...

Oh, you mean the sour grapes, "he stole the election", "our votes weren't counted", "it's a conspiracy against the disenfranchised" thing? That's not coincidence -- we're just cooler about losing than you.

Don't you mean the creative database management, barely managing a tenuous 537 differential, and then (in the spirit of being a uniter, not a divider) dragging the nation kicking and screaming down a path that we've all come to regret horribly, and becoming a pariah to your own party?

We're still waiting for all of the liberals to make good on their tearful promises to emigrate to Canada.
KinkyVixen • Nov 14, 2006 3:05 pm
Maybe we're just tired of all the bitching in general. No matter what side it's on.
yesman065 • Nov 14, 2006 4:49 pm
I will openly discuss any of it - A conservative at heart with liberal tendecies, I'm a neutalitarian. What can I say that I haven't already?
Aliantha • Nov 14, 2006 5:20 pm
I thought the election had been fairly well hashed over in the politics thread...

Oh, you're divorced and she took them too, huh. ;)

We don't bleat.

Right-winger fortitude, you know. We will hardly be silent.
xoxoxoBruce • Nov 15, 2006 12:51 am
There was an ad on TV tonight for the Republican party.
Basically it said give us another chance.
BigV • Nov 15, 2006 11:11 am
The buzz I'm hearing is "we wanted the Dems to win at least one house of Congress, so we can blame the Dems in 08"... Wait. Your ambition is to be a back bencher? :smack:

HEY! Just like the Catholic Church!

....is that what they call it these days?
BigV • Nov 23, 2006 2:14 am
Certainly you, DanaC, understand that term. Unless, as a Yank, I am abusing it. Doesn't it come from your side of the pond? As a reference to someone in government but out of power or out of the spotlight who'd rather heckle unhelpfully than cooperate? One who lobs bombs from the back benches?
DanaC • Nov 23, 2006 3:54 am
yes it does come from over here BigV, it just refers to a Member of parliament who is not on the front bench a member of the cabinet or shadow cabinet).....I was making a rather crude joke, you'll have to forgive me :P

Just waiting to see how the Dems handle their newfound power. This should be quite a show, starting with Pelosi assembling her team to combat the "Republican Culture of Corruption"...first Murtha and now Hastings.

Surely a role can be found for William "Frozen Assets" Jefferson?

They aren't even giving the appearance of trying... you almost admire their candor.
