Our Wedding

I guess most of you probably don't know, but I got married a few weeks ago. I thought I'd share some pics with you.

This one is the whole wedding party.

This one is Daryl, me and our two boys Aden and Maverick.

I love weddings!
bluecuracao • Oct 16, 2006 9:22 pm
Congratulations! You have a lovely family.
Griff • Oct 16, 2006 9:27 pm
Hooray!
SteveDallas • Oct 16, 2006 9:33 pm
Congratulations! (though I can't see the pics)
footfootfoot • Oct 16, 2006 9:55 pm
Lovely! Congratulations.
lumberjim • Oct 16, 2006 10:05 pm
so, was your dress red or purple? or did you change?

gratz!
Aliantha • Oct 16, 2006 10:07 pm
Hoof...I love weddings too, but this was my first time being one of the major players, so that was a bit of a treat. :)

Thanks for the nice comments folks.
Aliantha • Oct 16, 2006 10:08 pm
lumber...my dress was fuschia or hot pink. It did seem to look different depending on the light at the time. It was late arvo when we had the ceremony and pics done.

This is probably the best shot to see the actual colour.

Lovely, congrats Ali! Daryl looks like a man's man Aussie, if I may be so bold, and the boys are first class. You all look happy, most excellent!
Aliantha • Oct 16, 2006 10:19 pm
haha...Daryl will be impressed with that comment UT! I think you're right about the boys. They're little gems. Obviously not a product of Daryl and myself of course, but they're ours anyway. :)
Clodfobble • Oct 16, 2006 11:04 pm
Congratulations!

I can't see the pics either, Steve. Aliantha, are they hosted from another site, or uploaded directly to the cellar?
Aliantha • Oct 16, 2006 11:07 pm
I uploaded them directly. I'm not sure why some can see and others can't. Maybe I did it wrong?

Can the boss help?
SteveDallas • Oct 17, 2006 12:46 am
Well when I view it in Firefox I get "Name: weddingpartyresize.jpg Views: 16 Size: 27.0 KB". When I opened IE it gave me an HTML link but wouldn't let me click it till I logged in... and after I logged in gave me a broken image link icon with the same text as the ALT info.
Aliantha • Oct 17, 2006 12:50 am
I've used IE to upload etc. I don't know what the prob is. They're showing up fine on my page. :(
DucksNuts • Oct 17, 2006 5:58 am
I'm using Firefox and can see them fine!!!

Aliantha - Congrats luvie!!! Where was the wedding?? Looks gorgeous. You all look gorgeous. I love weddings :D
Sundae • Oct 17, 2006 7:18 am
Congratulations
I'm afraid I can't see the pictures either, which is a pity because they sound gorgeous...
xoxoxoBruce • Oct 17, 2006 9:24 am
I think it might be the html. UT had to kill that because of the hackers.
Trilby • Oct 17, 2006 9:30 am
I can see the pics fine and wow! Great family there! You look gorgeous, your dress is gorgeous (I LOVE that color!) and your bloke is hawt! Your boys are very handsome young men! Good job, Ali!
Sundae • Oct 17, 2006 9:35 am
Wow - lovely!
And yes I love that dress too - that's the way to do it.

What a fantastic idea, having the bridemaids in something elegant and accessorising in the main colour
Clodfobble • Oct 17, 2006 10:40 am
Ah ha! Thanks Bruce, I can see them now!
Aliantha • Oct 17, 2006 7:31 pm
Ducks, we had the ceremony and reception at the Manly Marina. It was awesome. We didn't have any sitting down type stuff. It was more cocktail party/soirée style with a cold buffet and hot food circulating. Of course, since it was a cocktail party, we had cocktails. :) Mmmmmm...yummy!

Anyway, it was a great night. My feet were so sore the next day. When we got to the honeymoon destination I'd booked us both in for massages and facials on arrival. They asked us to circle any areas of the body that were sore or tender so I circled the feet. She laughed. I wasn't joking.
Aliantha • Oct 17, 2006 7:33 pm
Sunday, with the colour I chose to wear, we had to be very careful that the bridesmaids and the groomsmen didn't look either tacky or drab. I was very happy with the photos and how the colours worked together. Maybe I could try for a spot on The Bold & The Beautiful as a fashion designer huh? ;)
Aliantha • Oct 17, 2006 7:37 pm
Bri...I reckon he's a bit of all right myself. ;) Although I have to admit, he's more of a dag more of the time, but I did think he looked exceptionally tempting that day. The boys looked great. I was so proud of them. :) Our little angel monsters. lol
footfootfoot • Oct 17, 2006 9:07 pm
Umm, and I think I speak for all the perves, I mean men, on the cellar, when will we see the honeymoon pics?
:blush::D
Aliantha • Oct 17, 2006 9:53 pm
Actually, we didn't have a camera on the honeymoon, but if you want porn I've got plenty of it. :) I'm pretty sure most of you are quite capable of finding your own though.

BTW...I object to not being included in the perv catagory. I think I've proven myself to be quite perverted actually.

Well, good point. You are Australian after all...
[ducks]:p
Aliantha • Oct 17, 2006 10:05 pm
OK...are you saying all Aussies are perverted?
footfootfoot • Oct 17, 2006 10:13 pm
Only if the Aussies on this board are typical.
"down under"
"map of tasmania"
the list goes on and on...
wolf • Oct 17, 2006 10:14 pm
Lovely! Congratulations!
Aliantha • Oct 17, 2006 10:15 pm
lol...well there is a certain amount of perversion in all of us. I think the degree to which we're affected varies from person to person. We probably are a lot more 'relaxed' as a nation than most others though I suppose.
Spexxvet • Oct 18, 2006 12:01 pm
The one two behind you looks like she could be your sister. Is she?
Image
It's obvious you're having fun. Congratulations. You look beautiful!
Elspode • Oct 18, 2006 3:47 pm
It is hard to tell for certain from a still photo, but...were you ladies *bunnyhopping*??

Congrats, Ali. Looks like an awesome event. Much happiness to you and yours.
Beestie • Oct 18, 2006 4:14 pm
Congratulations - looks like everybody had a good time!

Nice pics - nice looking bunch ya got there.
Aliantha • Oct 18, 2006 8:31 pm
Spex...all three of my bridesmaids are cousins. I don't have any sisters. The one you've mentioned is Kellie and she is my little sister as far as everything goes. She doesn't have any birth sisters either and we've always been very close and 'adopted' each other at a very young age. Well, it was more like I adopted her since she's 8yrs my junior. In saying that though, I'm close with all my cousins (21 of them) and we always celebrate together. It's why my circle of friends is fairly small. The lady on the end in that photo is Kellies Mum who stood in for my Mum on the big day. I'm a lucky woman to have so many wonderful people in my life.
Aliantha • Oct 18, 2006 8:32 pm
Elspode...we were kinda doing a glamour pose, but it looked more like a bunch of drunk women being dicks in the end. It was fun though. ;)
Aliantha • Oct 18, 2006 8:33 pm
Thanks Beestie. :) I feel pretty lucky to have such a lovely family.
Buddug • Oct 18, 2006 8:56 pm
What is the botanical name of that great big white flower ? ( and I don't mean the bride)
Aliantha • Oct 18, 2006 9:02 pm
It's an oriental lilly. Not sure what the botanical name is, but it's actually three blooms brought together.
Buddug • Oct 18, 2006 9:07 pm
Very striking , and far more original than yer yusual bookay .
Aliantha • Oct 18, 2006 9:15 pm
I thought so too.
Buddug • Oct 18, 2006 9:19 pm
Perhaps you should have extended that originality elsewhere ?
Aliantha • Oct 18, 2006 9:21 pm
I think there were plenty of 'original' aspects to our wedding. I guess it would be hard for you to know that since you weren't there though. :)
Buddug • Oct 18, 2006 9:50 pm
I happen to care more about love than stage-props .
Aliantha • Oct 18, 2006 10:02 pm
whatever. Why did you bother posting on this thread if you only wanted to be insulting?
DucksNuts • Oct 19, 2006 12:09 am
wtf? I musta missed something.
Aliantha • Oct 19, 2006 12:13 am
Did you have a nice drinky last night Ducks? lol Hope your head's not too sore today. ;)
DucksNuts • Oct 19, 2006 1:02 am
I did have a couple of quiet ones last nite :) My heads good....a feed of dimsims n Dr Coke and all is forgiven
mrnoodle • Oct 19, 2006 1:09 am
you're just getting srping there, right? We had our first snow of the season yesterday :|
Aliantha • Oct 19, 2006 1:17 am
We're about half way into spring now noodle. The weather is great in my part of the country although I hope we get some decent rain soon or I'll have no lawn left. :(
Elspode • Oct 19, 2006 1:44 pm
Did someone piss in Buddug's Cheerios or something?
xoxoxoBruce • Oct 19, 2006 3:52 pm
When one of the Queens expat imperialists becomes a french wannabe, they piss in their own Cheerios. :(
Elspode • Oct 19, 2006 5:16 pm
...and then they drink it, because...zey are *Frenchmen*! Viva la wee wee!
Flint • Oct 20, 2006 12:21 pm
Peter Griffin: "I gotta take a wicked yes."
Aliantha • Oct 21, 2006 3:05 am
We have cheerios the breaky cereal over here now. I remember the first time a yank ever talked about cheerios for breaky I thought they were nuts...not to mention nutritionally deficient.
DucksNuts • Oct 21, 2006 5:46 am
One thing I noticed whilst over in the US was that their breakie cereal isle is WAAAY overloaded with sugary shit....heaps more than over here. I couldnt find a weetbix equivalent and every second thing was drenched in cinnamon!!!

Plus, they dont have anything that resembles Milo...wtf???? how do they live???
Aliantha • Oct 21, 2006 5:48 am
I can't imagine life without Milo...specially in winter, but then, it's awesome in summer too.

You've got to have your chocolate milk CHUNKY!
DucksNuts • Oct 21, 2006 5:51 am
Oh yeah, I still do the 3/4 of a cup Milo, tiny bit of milk, then try and mix it together....you know you've got it right when you near choke trying to eat it :D
Aliantha • Oct 21, 2006 5:53 am
drink it with a spoon. lol I've even taught my kids how to do it. I'm very proud of them. ;)
Phase • Oct 21, 2006 7:55 am
I know I'm late, but Congradulations! :)
Aliantha • Oct 21, 2006 7:56 am
Thanks Phase. :)

We've got all that shit tough guy. Branston's pickles, marmite, weetabix. You just weren't in the right kind of stores.:p

I agree about the sugary crapola that most stores have. We get the cereal of remorse. You have to leave it in the bowl of milk for hours before it is even chewable.
xoxoxoBruce • Oct 21, 2006 10:18 pm
She's a tough guy?
DucksNuts • Oct 21, 2006 10:30 pm
wtf are Branston's pickles??? Marmite is NOT vegemite and you still dont have Milo :p

I also didnt see any Sausage Rolls (which are great hangover fodder) and I didnt see any weetabix, but since you know what I am talking about....I'll concede that.
