Cellar Monopoly

footfootfoot • Sep 18, 2006 8:52 pm
I think we are ready for a new thread.

What oft heard cellar words and phrases equal what monopoly pieces. First come first served, but as usual we reserve the right to argue and disagree.

calling moral equivelency = get out of jail free card
footfootfoot • Sep 18, 2006 9:05 pm
yes!
dar512 • Sep 18, 2006 10:47 pm
Well I think you've made a mistake. Doesn't Utilitarian Boobs have to be "Community Chest"?

And I'd say Jim's "Let me give you a new user title" would have to be "chance".
marichiko • Sep 19, 2006 12:03 am
"According to Wikipedia" means "go to jail, go directly to jail, do not collect $200.

Spexxvet • Sep 19, 2006 8:56 am
any reference to eating a cuddly animal = Oriental Ave (the meat in Chinese food is dogs and cats, right?)

any reference to eating a creepy, disgusting organism = Kentucky Ave

The lobster divided into two colors = Pennsylvania Ave (Philly and Pittsburgh one color the rest of the state the other color)

Couldn't see the whole of the standard American board, so bear with my descriptions

Word Association is the first brown one (Old Kent Rd for us) - easy to get into and everyone lands on it at some point.

Which probably makes Q&A the next brown one (Whitechapel) for the same reason.

The Music Trivia thread is Free Parking, because it causes arguments when people make up their own rules.
BigV • Sep 19, 2006 10:50 am
I'm the Top Hat.

And I **PWN** Baltic Ave. Now if I can just get Mediterranean... muhahahaha!
BigV • Sep 19, 2006 10:52 am

Yes, xoB is definitely the car. Case closed.

Maybe you could let LJ drive it when you don't feel like playing, though, eh?

Yar, I consulted with a gypsy fortune teller, an her words are true. What properties be dark purple as wine here be leather brown across th sea. Sad, sad I am, for I detest the Q&A thread and curse th cruel fates that decreed it be the match for Word Association. What a motley pair. Beauty an the Beast, for certain.

I'll never get a monopoly now. I canna bring m'self to post there. Who'll trade me for Word Assoc? What am I bid? Bring out tha gold, ye dogs.
BigV • Sep 19, 2006 12:23 pm
I withdraw the offer.

I says the Song Association thread is a far better match to the Word Association thread as a matched pair, bunk mates, if ye will. Wat say ye?
BrianR • Sep 19, 2006 11:18 pm
For reasons best not mentioned here, I should get the iron.

I'll go along with that. I probably chose Q&A because I'm crummy at Song Association :)
