How good is your knowledge of European Geography?

worse than I expected.
Remembering exactly where vatican city & san marino are off the top iof my head was not easy.

I suck at Eastern European Geography. The ones I did get were all because of matching shapes. And Malta? Sure, I know it's a small island near Italy, but which one?
I got all the major pieces right - it was the tiny little countries buried in the middle of others, or the little islands, that threw me off.

Muldova and Lithuania killed me.
%73. Trying to find the little dots where Monaco, Andorra, and Vatican City are supposed to go is a bitch even if you know their relative positions.
64%, 316 miles off. I usually get my bearings from the big countries (like Germany) and then start on the others. The small places like Monaco and San Marino were hard.
90%, 25 miles. But then I do live here.
Where the hell is smoothmoniker anyway???
Dano! APB on SM. On the double.

There are a lot more countries than when I got my degree. Honest.

San Marino and Malta were the ones that I didn't know at all, so they killed me. The landlocked countries like Belarus and Slovakia were difficult too.
On my second try I got 95% with an avg error of 11 miles (I was lucky that Slovakia was one of the last countries to show up).

All those tiny countries kill you.
68%, I'd do a lot better if they let me choose the order of countries.
82%, average error 89 miles. Again, it was only the countries like San Marino and Andorra which I could not locate because they have no shape on a map and no Thalia fans. Although I have not spent more than 3 weeks of my life in Europe, I can easily locate the countries where we have fan club members :)
I can't even admit to mine - horrified that my knowledge of Europe is so very poor. In the end I was reduced to trying to place the Baltic States by who votes for whom in the Eurovision song contest.
I will keep trying until I have a better idea of what goes where.
Edited to add: I did better in my first attempt at the US version than I have yet done in the European one. I have a frame of reference for where US states are, from history lessons and novels (I used to look things up on the map to understand things like journeys and location)
My laptop won't let me play the quiz.....but I don't need a quiz to know my result would be shockingly bad. Geography was never my strong point; I just don't think in spacial terms. Makes me a truly dangerous navigator.
Geography has always been my most disliked and worst subject...partially due to my "direction dyslexia" and partially because it bores me to tears.
I'll even admit how stupid I am: 45%; 787 miles off.
:right:
77%, 129 miles average error. Bah. It's tough placing countries precisely within the landmass.
Time to practice! :o
On the bright side, what are the chances of any of us having to return even the smallest country to it's proper location.....without help.
I don't do nation building, so 68% is enough.
