Finally in a cover band: Phobic

Undertoad • Aug 29, 2006 8:00 pm
Auditions over, they just told me I'm in. First gig is at least a month away but I have work to do learning songs.

They seem like good players. They seem like good guys. They want to have enough songs to suit different kinds of shows and even requests and such. A lot of it is loud modern rock, while at the same time the keyboardist wanted to do Coldplay, and there was a "Gimme Some Lovin / Rockin In the Free World" mashup that was really effective. I like it all. I like a lot of stuff and moreover, I like having to have to play different things, change it up.

So that's the news, and I couldn't be happier about it, it fulfills a deep need in me to play out, which I haven't been able to do regularly for a long time.
wolf • Aug 29, 2006 8:02 pm
You will post your gig schedule, right?
Undertoad • Aug 29, 2006 8:10 pm
Most certainly!

Disclaimer, I don't know what kind of gigs yet. It's most likely playing to young alcoholics or mid-life alcoholics as that is the demand for paying cover acts.
Clodfobble • Aug 29, 2006 8:58 pm
Congratulations!! I suppose there won't likely be a tour anytime soon, eh? ;)

That's great, UT!

You always looked happy up on stage in the pictures you would post.

Aw, you were a shoo in. :thumb2:

I love covers. Congradulations. What covers do you play if I may ask?
Elspode • Aug 30, 2006 12:17 am
You better do "Superstition" and "The Letter", bassboy. :)

Congrats on an actual paying gig, man. It *is* a paying gig, right?
Griff • Aug 30, 2006 7:41 am
Good work closing the deal Mr. Man.
DanaC • Aug 30, 2006 8:11 am

Congratulations, man. I love that "haven't played out in a while" feelin' . . .
Undertoad wrote:

Well, you'll tell yourself "it's better than playing at home, for my dog."
Undertoad • Aug 30, 2006 9:33 am
I think bringing the people some happiness is one of the highest callings in the world.

Man I can't play for the dog... she likes that wheedlewheedle stuff... but seriously, I always have to have some goal in front of me, such as a three-week deadline to absorb 10 songs for the next set we'll play at the end of the month. Otherwise I'm shit for practice, I won't sit there doing scales in front of a metronome or something like that.
Flint • Aug 30, 2006 9:38 am
I love getting a new gig and evaluating the material, the audience, the room accoustics, etc. and deciding which gear is appropriate to bring, how to adjust my technique, etc. for maximum effect in that partucular setting...
Spexxvet • Aug 30, 2006 9:45 am
Congrats, UT. Is this a wedding/bar mitzvah kind of thing, or bars/clubs?
Beestie • Aug 30, 2006 10:11 am
Things are looking very good for you these days, ÜberToad. Very good, indeed. I figured it was just a matter of time before Karmac equilibruim would occur. This Red Bull is you you, mate.

Oh, and one small request. Can you put my name on one of those lists that the big ugly's look at when deciding who gets in and who doesn't? I'm not sure if I can make it up or not but just knowing that once, just once, ....

:)
Undertoad • Aug 30, 2006 10:26 am
It's more a bars/clubs thing. So if y'all show up and we suck, you can just drink until we sound good. Bonus!

B and anyone who wants past the $5 cover for those kinds of things, thanks! ... I would be humbled if anyone showed up, but I think I can swing that! (I'll just hand the bouncer a ten and tell him not to kick you out.)

But as I said to the lead when I accepted the gig, "I have come to kick ass and chew bubble gum... and I'm all out of bubble gum."
Flint • Aug 30, 2006 10:37 am
The alcohol equation in bar gigs is a funny thing: the drunk audience is a good thing (usually, but sometimes disasterously not), and the the drunk band is a good thing (usually, but sometimes disasterously not). Plus, I've taken to drinking hard liquor, straight-up on ice, to avoid the mid-set potty breaks that drinking pitcher after pitcher of free beer can bring on.
mrnoodle • Aug 30, 2006 1:03 pm
Woot! grats on the gig UT. You should film a show and put it up here so we can have a listen.

I was only too drunk to play once. The guy who owns our local record company rented a bar for his birthday and had all us bands play a few songs throughout the night. For everyone else it was just a good time, but we were just starting out as a band and wanted to make a good impression. I was the only one in the band who had more than 3 beers, so I got venomous stares from them when I staggered up and plugged in.

Luckily the crowd was well into their cups as well, and had quit paying attention to the bands long before we got up there.
smoothmoniker • Aug 30, 2006 3:00 pm
again, I must insist that you bring the band to LA immediately!
Undertoad • Aug 30, 2006 3:18 pm
Oh you TEASE!

What are your hourly rates?

Maggie, are you rated for anything that'll handle 5 stinky musicians and 150 lbs of gear across country?
capnhowdy • Aug 30, 2006 5:00 pm
Great news, UT. Clubs are fun.

I got fired from my own band for playing the Moose Club drunk. I said "But you can't fire ME it's MY band". They said No, but we CAN all quit at the same time. That was the last time I played a club other than my solo act. Years ago. I sure miss it.

If I could do it again, I'd damn sure do a lot of shit different. Enjoy.
Flint • Aug 30, 2006 9:33 pm
What do you play cap? (I like "cap" as a nickname for you, sounds like Captain America.) I'm a drummer.
capnhowdy • Aug 31, 2006 4:34 pm
Vocalist and guitar. My guitar work has a lot to be desired.
Flint • Aug 31, 2006 4:37 pm
Well, at least you can hold a guitar, instead of standin' up there dancin' around or whatever...
skysidhe • Aug 31, 2006 7:57 pm
hey, I am one of those people standing up there dancing around or whatever.:p

I have a very good friend who plays the guitar. Does many gigs but I concider him my truest friend first. He dosn't care I can't play a lick.
capnhowdy • Aug 31, 2006 9:17 pm
I can only play rhythm guitar.. The other guys used to forbid me to play. I'm good enough to support my solo act of classic country/70's lite/southern rock. But compared to them I'm chopped liver. I just seem to be able to sing better with an axe hanging around my neck. My fav axe is my Takamine EF amped acoustic. I have a little 300 watt Peavey mixer amp head w/2 18" monitors in the corner of my office/party area. I enjoy playing for my friends at parties, etc., But that's about the extent of it these days. I'm just not ticket material at my age. Nothing like I was when I was in my 30's. Oh to be young again.
skysidhe • Sep 1, 2006 2:37 am
So you are in good company Cap'n. I just asked my son what rythum guitar was. Well I got a good explanation and it is a valuble component of some bands as I heard it. Some rythum guitarists he mentioned were izzy,Angus,Joe and sometimes Brad. I don't remember which bands because I can't keep much up there at one time. * taps forehead*

oh to be young again indeed! We can only get better and better is better than bitter.
mrnoodle • Sep 1, 2006 9:57 am
Dave Mustaine is a rhythm guitarist. He comes up with some of the sickest, weirdest, insanely difficult things to play in the history of the world, too. His leads kinda suck though, compared to his lead guitarists.

In my band, I play mostly rhythm stuff, along with a few leads. My lead stuff is improving, but the thing I contribute to the mix usually is a chukka chukka more than a weedley weedley.
Flint • Sep 1, 2006 10:01 am
I'll take a "chukka chukka" over a "weedley weedley" any day.

150 # of gear? Each? Or is your stuff inflatable?

I just got a Club Champ Golf Case to carry my drum hardware. $20 at a garage sale.

Edit: I can easily pack five double-braced cymbal stands (with tom mounts) and a high-hat pedal in there.
Undertoad • Sep 1, 2006 3:14 pm
There's no point hauling a load of average gear cross-country when it's the big-dollar producer's job to tell us what our sound should be.
Flint • Sep 1, 2006 3:29 pm
You should call the band

Undertoad • Sep 10, 2006 5:20 pm
Rehearsal today was the fourth in as many weeks, and I really felt much better about things as things start to gel. So far I've learned and played about 30 songs in that time frame. It starts to get dizzying and yet a lot of the songs start to work the way they should.

I know when it's working because then I play really strongly and firmly with authority and take over my rightful role as the key to the rhythm section.

These songs are way loud, modern loud rock stuff, because the keyboard player has been out for three out of the four sessions so far. That means the hard stuff, including Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, STP, Blink 182, "Hash Pipe". Gtr player has pretty much come through. When we sync up to create the usual gtr+bass "attack", as you'd find in things like ACDC and a lot of metal,... it's simple stuff but it's something I've never done before, and it's a load of fun.

It's a shot of adrenaline to run through a loud set like this at 10am on a Sunday morning. But that's been the band's routine, and so far, it works perfectly.
Flint • Sep 12, 2006 5:20 pm
That sounds really fun, man. I wish I could be doing something like that... but I'm pushing myself hard, as an on-call 24/7 sys admin . . . The only gigs I'm doing right now are charity events at work. That's fun, in a different way. Playing in front of people you work with, like "betcha y'all didn't know I could do this!"
skysidhe • Sep 12, 2006 5:58 pm
Getting in a cover band with people who click , whos talents all jive is a feat in itself. Congradulations Undertoad.

Personally, I was think'in If I had a dollar for everyone I knew who said they were in a band, knew someone who was in a band, played an instrument or knew someone who played an instrument I might be independently wealthy.
wolf • Sep 13, 2006 2:48 am
Having spent a lot of time and money following a cover band around the Tri-State area back in the day (Flamin' Caucasians), I'd go to see a good coverband (meaning they sound good, and more importantly, have a good time playing together) rather than an original act.
Undertoad • Sep 13, 2006 9:13 am
Most certainly! - the Flamin's should be the goal of every cover band: get so good and so well-known that you're practically the house band of the whole city.

Also, they reached the level where they could make a decent living at it. That's practically unheard of around here.
Flint • Sep 13, 2006 10:09 am
I used to think, like alot of people, "I don't wanna be in a cover band, I wanna play originals!" . . . But as you get older, things change. You don't need to go out there and "make it" because you have everything you need at home. You don't have anything "to prove" to anybody; no interest in "showing off" your "chops" . . .

I'm on this "minimal kit" thing right now. The kit I'm bringing for my next charity deal at work is my Steve Ferrone signature snare, a 22" Ludwig Vistalite (clear acrylic) bass drum, one (14") tom, 13" high-hats, 16" and 18" crashes, and a "rocktagon" as a ride cymbal. I've practiced with it a couple of times, it feels very grounding to only have the basic stuff in front of you.
Elspode • Sep 15, 2006 12:30 am
Stripping it all down to nothing but a few acoustic instruments, the material, and you is really what makes it hit home, man. Go for it.

Sat October 28 - Traxx Sports Pub, Colmar PA

Fri November 10 - Fireman's Memorial Hall, Conshohocken PA
supporting the comedy of Rev. Bob Levy, w/ Sal Governale, Shuli, Geno Bisconte & Ed McGonigal; Hosted by the WYSP Extreme Team.

The first event I would consider a warmup of sorts, and it is the standard 3 set 4 hour marathon for a 60-person place. The X-factor is that it is a Halloween event. Costumes have been discussed. I want a cape.

The second event is a marquee thing that I think we got because our lead singer Wayne is a volunteer fireman. We play an hour before the standup comedy begins, and an hour after. Since it's Levy, Shuli, and Sal the Stockbroker, this is totally a Howard Stern event, and I have no idea why it's also a WYSP-sponsored thing. Tickets are $35 which includes 4 hours of open bar. The Stern Fan Network promises to be there. Expect nothing short of utter, glorious chaos.
SteveDallas • Sep 26, 2006 11:41 am
I'm conflicted... I'd love to come.

But as a loyal long-time Opie & Anthony listener, I'm not sure I can attend a "totally Howard Stern event" with a clean conscience.

edit: Never mind. I have my own gig that night (or at least, dress rehearsal for a gig).
cowhead • Sep 26, 2006 12:21 pm
sounds nice.. and purty drumset to boot. and yeah there is something to dropping all the misc. equipment and stripping down to the bare-bones in a band. since moving down here all I've got is 1 accoustic and my johnson amp (although it does have all the bells and whistles. I just don't seem to use them much anymore). dunno, I suppose as previously said. there's something to playing just for fun and not being out there trying to 'prove anything' although.. the old punk buried just below the skin is kinda irritated at me for wanting to cut down the originals to a bare minimum.. but ya gotta 'hook' them with the covers and sneak in an original every now and again. anywoo! good luck playing.. have fun.

Flint...I think I see a tiny space left over where you could squeeze in a couple more cymbals.

Nice rigs, both. Is there a giant Carl Palmeresque gong behind it all?

Sadly, no. A 22" Zildjian Oriental Classic China, struck with a mallet, is what I use for "gong" sounds.
Limited applications, but indispensable in ceratin situations (a cover of Echoes, for instance...)

Edit: (I thought about what you said, I probably didn't have enough cymbals in there before...)

Date added: January 12, Dutch Cottage, Skippack. (I haven't seen it. Will they be selling Amish farmer's cheese?)

At this point we are competent at most things and need ironing out on some, IMO although sometimes I have no sense of it with the "loft mix". We do a mean Roadhouse Blues for sure, our Radar Love is fine, the drop-D stuff is menacing but will we manage to get Coldplay's Talk ready for showtime? Drama!

I've been meaning to sand the corners off of the butt end, maybe glue a rubberball on the tip.

I don't play loudly in the house, I use brushes or mallets. I just bought this house, and I don't want any neighbor troubles. I'm in the process of closing in and sound-insulating the 750 square foot detached garage.
Little baby girl loves drumming, by the way. She's been listening to drumming, from inside the womb, for her whole existance. Playing a Bozzio-esque osstinato on the low-pitched toms puts her right to sleep, in fact.

Who handles the, uh, "management" duties of this band?
I'd hate to think there might be future "mixups" regarding, say, "how much we got paid" or "how much bar tab was comped" . . .
Undertoad • Oct 26, 2006 3:11 pm
Who manages the venue is the question. Wasn't our mixup.
Flint • Oct 26, 2006 3:31 pm

I'm sure it's just a mixup. You wouldn't have been hanging out, practicing with these guys, if any of them were shifty crackheads.

If a choice gig was to be lied about it would not be Traxx Sports Pub. Now, if we're not opening and closing for Rev. Bob Levy, Shuli, and Sal the Stockbroker on the 12th of next month, there will be a problem, because that will be a choice gig.

Bri! I'm surprised you're not at the "motivation" seminar at the Nutter Center today. I snaked out of it, though a lot of coworkers went, saying I felt I should hold down the fort here. One girl called and said it was like some kind of right wing religious cult. Another emailed me and said it was awesome. You can guess which person has more credibility with me.

Next on the agenda, right after Giuliani, they will pass around the Kool-aid a la Jim Jones, I think.

Speaking of Everynuts!
Trilby • Oct 31, 2006 10:36 am
Nope, not at the Nut today! So...Giuliani is there?
Shawnee123 • Oct 31, 2006 10:41 am
Yep...Forbes, Don Shula, Zig Zigler...etc. Hey, nothing against the people who are presenting...I'm sure they do have some great things to say, and there are things I respect about some of them, but: they will show you how to turn your life around, they will take you to a higher plane, they will motivate you right into the stratosphere! (They will sell you all kinds of motivational "equipment" before you leave.) :bs:

Yeah, I'm a cynic. Or perhaps I just have a healthy skepticism...but I have heard there is some kind of big sales pitch..though I don't know what they sell. This is why I will not be on the fast track to upper management, I think this kind of stuff is a crock. The newest wave.

axeman84 • Jan 10, 2007 12:21 pm

Takes a while to get used to the Cellar... Bruce's words are in his "signature" which is copied on every post.

a horse walked into a bar and the bartender said, "hey, why the long face", to which the horse replied, "I'm not feeling to stable", then 2 gay horses walked in and said liltingly, "HEY, I'd like to butter your oats and wax your carrot!"
xoxoxoBruce • Jan 12, 2007 4:36 am
Groan. :D
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
lumberjim • Jan 12, 2007 8:17 pm
getting ready to go see UT slap the thick strings.
lumberjim • Jan 13, 2007 11:01 am
Hey. Phobic rocked. Rhythm section especially. Ut and the drummer are nice and tight. The singer had good prescence, and axeman can wail. I shot about 3 or 4 songs on my dvd cam. I'll convert them to mp4 and email them to UT so he can Utube them if he wants to.

We had a good time. it was a cozy little joint with very enthusiastic patrons, and I have to say that the band went over really well. Everyone was enjoying it and dancing and all. I wish i could have stayed longer, as it was heating up around the time I had to go.....to be here at work at 8:30am :(

anyway! good fun!! Nice Job, Tony!

Way too dark to actually take a video in. But you do get the idea. Thanks LJ!!!
jinx • Jan 14, 2007 1:44 pm
A little brighter...

Great job Tony et al. but when are you gonna get Jacquelita up there singing?
lumberjim • Jan 14, 2007 1:54 pm
so, on a side note, it sucks uploading pics. they're always too big, and resizing them is a huge hassle. jinx made 2 attempts at it for the above pics before flinging the laptop at me to finish it. hosting them is the obvious solution, but they always seem to disappear...or the link breaks when the host site makes some minor change. i know it's limited because of bandwidth issues, and I'm not really asking for change here. just bitching pointlessly. carry on.[/bitching pointlessly]
axeman84 • Jan 15, 2007 1:16 pm
thanks for the video, lumberjim
Sundae • Jan 15, 2007 1:24 pm
Brilliant!
Thanks for the pics and video LJ - for those of us who haven't a chance of getting there it's great to see.

Pretty damn cool UT :)
lumberjim • Jan 15, 2007 1:39 pm
my pleasure. truly

i hope you can make it out another night when you can stay longer and share a mug of suds!!!
Undertoad • Jan 15, 2007 4:55 pm
It was only my stupidity that I didn't pay for your drinks on Friday. Next are all on me guaranteed
lumberjim • Jan 15, 2007 5:05 pm
pah. no worries. 2.5 yeungling draughts in a plastic cup fit the budget nicely. and yeah, next time, jinx is driving, and i'm gettin' wit' the Captain. Just be warned.....I may stage dive. It'll have to be a Saturday night, so I don't have to go into work in the morning, too.
xoxoxoBruce • Jan 15, 2007 10:49 pm
If you have trouble with pictures, email them to me and I'll massage them for you. The way I'm set up, it's a snap. :D
lumberjim • Jan 15, 2007 11:46 pm
no real trouble, just a pain in the ass. having to resize, save, try to upload, resize and save again. as i said....pointless bitching.
Beestie • Jan 16, 2007 3:52 am
Here's on easy way. In Irfan, save the orig as a new image.

Look at the status bar on the bottom of the image. Far left are the dimensions and the image size is the 4th section of the status bar.

Choose resize.
Pick 640 x 480 (99% of the time, this will work)
Save

Even tho you saved the image after making it smaller, the status bar does not update. However, if you click on File (as tho you were going to save it again), it will update the status bar with the new size so pick File then click elsewhere on the image to make the File dropdown disappear. Check the status bar again.

The max size for a Cellar image upload is 146.5Kb. If the number in the 4th box is less than 146.5 then save and upload. If not, resize using the percentage option and save again. Check file size and repeat until less than 146.5.

After you do this once or twice, it shouldn't take more than a few seconds to do it again after you get the hang of it.
xoxoxoBruce • Jan 16, 2007 12:34 pm
It's even easier in Photoshop. ;)
Original at 94.6 Kb.
Copy at 53.7 Kb.
xoxoxoBruce • Jan 16, 2007 1:05 pm
Another copy at 63.6 Kb.
I didn't take any time to smooth them out, but you get the idea. Why take up more room than necessary? :D
axeman84 • Jan 16, 2007 4:39 pm
i think all pictures of our keyboard capture him in that same pose, very strange
Flint • Jan 16, 2007 4:46 pm

cowhead • Jan 16, 2007 9:47 pm
cool cool cool... one of the days I'll get the g/f out of the house and we'll try to make it in that direction if ya'll are playing. she needs to see the 'big city' anyway :))

I have photoshop and paint shop pro but have recently decided to abandon both and force myself to learn Gimp. Except for quick edit stuff like resizing which I can finish in Irfan before Photoshop even loads.

lumberjim • Apr 21, 2007 9:32 am
TONIGHT!
Undertoad • Apr 21, 2007 10:49 am
Tonight will be a good one in fact - although some people don't go to the northeast, it's not that hard to get around on the Boulevard. Teh hours are a rare 9-1 -- instead of the usual grueling 10-2.

We have improved a good deal since you filmed us James - gotten tighter and we now have better sound, so we can hear ourselves, it makes a big difference imo.
lumberjim • Apr 21, 2007 11:14 am
that's cool. if i didnt already have plans...i'd come out again. you can borrow my camera and tripod if you want to sometime.
piercehawkeye45 • Apr 22, 2007 9:11 pm
I'm sure this has been asked many times but what type of music do you play?

I also play bass and just joined a band a few weeks ago to play a bunch of covers and maybe make some of our own songs. Fun stuff.
Undertoad • Apr 22, 2007 11:11 pm
The set list is at the website: phobicrocks.com

It is tuned to be acceptable to anyone 20-70 years old.
piercehawkeye45 • Apr 23, 2007 1:14 am
Damn, I'm 19.

Good variety of music. Everywhere from the 60s to 00s (probably even more spread out but I don't recognize a lot of the bands).

xoxoxoBruce;336924 wrote:

this raises an interesting thought....your beard, as a whole...as a theoretical entity, may be 38 years old, but the hairs....they cant be more than 8 or 10 weeks, most likely, as you trim it. now... a man that grows his beard without trimming it for 38 years can truly say that his beard is 38 years old...assuming the hairs haven't worn off at the end or something like that. So the statement that your beard is 38 is misleading......you could say that you've had a beard for 38 years......

eh...nevermind.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Phobic is in the semi-finals of WMGK's House Band Contest.

We have really worked hard and improved massively over the last six months, and this is the result of that.
Uisge Beatha • Jul 24, 2007 11:56 am
Congratulations, UT! Give 'em hell, dude. :bass:
Clodfobble • Jul 24, 2007 12:02 pm
Congratulations, dude! What do you get if you win?
Shawnee123 • Jul 24, 2007 12:25 pm
Woohooooo! You can't see it, but I'm clicking my lighter for an encore already!
Undertoad • Jul 24, 2007 12:44 pm
When we win, we'll get $3000 cash for equipment, two free days in a studio, and 4 gigs as the "house band" for which we'll get $800 each time.

We have plenty of gear, it's the gigs that are meaningful, and the title. We need to bring more people out in order to get bigger and better bookings. This would accomplish that... probably.
rkzenrage • Jul 24, 2007 12:58 pm

...how would you guys use this? I mean, you can't release an album of cover songs without buying a completely different set of rights to the songs. Is the assumption that all the bands in this contest also have original material they're working on, or is it maybe useful to have recordings of yourselves not for sale but for promotional purposes?
Undertoad • Jul 24, 2007 2:00 pm
We do have originals, but we'd probably record covers for our own demo purposes. In two days, we might be able to record 1 - 2 songs.

We recorded "25 or 6 to 4" in the loft of a barn to get into the semi-finals.

Phobic's link on the WMGK page is broken, not that you can do anything about that ...

Yeah, "under construction".

The Phobic link, on the MGK site, is working now.
jester • Jul 26, 2007 3:16 pm
You guys have an awesome list of cover songs. Something for just about everyone.
Undertoad • Jul 26, 2007 8:08 pm
I actually bought and configured the misspelled domain name in case they didn't fix it.

Thanks jester -- that's the goal. (Actually the goal is to find the right mix of stuff that the drinking general public will like; it's the bar owners who eventually hire or fire us.)

Our set:

25 or 6 to 4
Bye Bye Love
Takin Care of Business
Radar Love

"Business" is the required song for all four bands to play. We have developed our own arrangement that is faster and doesn't include the boring middle section where they repeat the words "takin care of business" until you want to vomit. We hope the other bands leave this section in.

Our 25 or 6 to 4 and Radar Love are very strong and we hope to open and close "big".

We will be winning this semi-final and moving on to the final in two weeks.
lumberjim • Aug 8, 2007 11:35 pm
dude, good luck!
jester • Aug 9, 2007 10:00 am
Best of Luck to you guys.
Shawnee123 • Aug 9, 2007 10:33 am
So very strange. Radar Love was in my head all morning as I was getting ready for work.

Good luck! Here's a very badly done encore light:
Undertoad • Aug 10, 2007 4:12 pm
OK, we lost.

..and we wuz robbed! People said so. In one sense of it, the bands were 50-somethings vs 40-somethings vs 30-somethings vs 20-somethings, and the judges were a 40-something and 2 20-somethings, and thus the 30-somethings won.

But no bitterness, it was fun and we'll just have to win next year instead.
Flint • Aug 10, 2007 4:19 pm
I wish I could have seen you guys. I'll bet it was quite an impressive display.
DanaC • Aug 10, 2007 4:33 pm
Oh bad luck UT, next year you'll win.
Flint • Aug 10, 2007 4:43 pm
Every gig is an experience to learn something from.
Undertoad • Aug 10, 2007 4:59 pm
I think learned the most by watching the 20-somethings be 100% full of themselves. They won the semi-final last year. They were not exactly gracious on stage. And they were most unhappy about losing.
