San Diego around the 4th

Bullitt • Jun 28, 2006 4:17 pm
hey folks, I'm heading out to San Diego and La Jolla for a week in a couple days, anything in particular people want to see pictures of? I'm going to be taking a bunch and the planned events are: Padres game on Sunday, San Diego Zoo, 4th of July fireworks and parade on Catalina, La Jolla beaches and coves, and some coastal Mexico (don't know where yet though).
And no I'm not going to post pictures of my g/f in her bikini ;)
Elspode • Jun 28, 2006 4:55 pm
Well, then, how about some pics of some other schmucks' girlfriends in *their* bikinis? :)

You know us, Bullitt...anything cool or even semi-mundane, we enjoy it all.
Sperlock • Jun 28, 2006 9:45 pm
Hey, Bullitt never said that he wouldn't post any kind of pictures of his g/f. ;)

It's fine with us if she's not wearing her bikini, we're cool that way.

the word "insatiable" is coming to mind right now
footfootfoot • Jun 29, 2006 9:23 pm
We'll settle for incorrigble.

Sounds good to me
Well since no one seems to have a preference or vocal desire to see anything in particular, I'll just make some more flickr accounts for them all and post links to em when I get back
Leaving in 14 hours..

Excellent!
Yes, it looks like it was a very busy week. :mg:
Elspode • Jul 13, 2006 12:28 am
Oh, great...now I can't get up from my desk because of the wood caused by the thought of being close to both a Ford GT *and* a Shelby GT 350.
Bullitt • Jul 13, 2006 3:05 am
they sounded very nice.. :D

here's a few more just for you elspode (notice the black and yellow plates on the mustang.. that means that guy has owned the thing since it was produced.. never changed hands and thus never gotten new plates)

They built less than 2500 of those Shelby's. Very nice. :thumb2:
Elspode • Jul 13, 2006 5:26 pm
Bruce, you are a man of the hot rod world...what does the "H" mean on the 350?

The 'Vette and the Petty Charger are nice as well.
xoxoxoBruce • Jul 13, 2006 7:42 pm
H stands for Hertz Corporation. That car was originally 1 of the 1001 ordered by Hertz as "rent-a-rods".
skysidhe • Jul 13, 2006 8:42 pm
Some great pictures there Bullitt. Thanks for sharing.:D
Bullitt • Jul 15, 2006 2:53 am
Thanks sky and bruce , my pleasure.. I'm off to lifeguard in Colorado for a month again (same as last year) in about.. 10 hours. So if I get any neat shots from that whole thing I will be sure to share.
I don't have a whole lot of time (or gas money) these days to go around and shoot, so most of good pictures come from trips or special events.

See you folks in a month.. don't burn the place down ;)

oh yeah, fargon I did go to a lil place called "The Fish Market", which is on the docks literally right next to the Midway carrier/museum, and it was dang amazing.. def. hit that place up if you love great fish and have a lil extra cash to spend!

Somehow, I knew you'd know that...

But how do you know that that particular one is #1 of 1001? It must be semi-famous somehow, given that it is a rarity amonst rarities.
Ibby • Jul 15, 2006 9:09 pm
I think he meant, like, one of them, not #1.

...Maybe?
xoxoxoBruce • Jul 15, 2006 10:48 pm
Right.... one of 1001, not #1 of 1001.
I think about 800 of them were black and gold.
Elspode • Jul 16, 2006 3:22 pm
Ah...see my user title and sig line for my excuse for this misunderstanding. Sigh.

Why didn't anyone tell me when I was 18 that I'd *need* all those brain cells when I was 50?
xoxoxoBruce • Jul 16, 2006 3:51 pm
Oh they told you,...but the music was too loud to hear.
That's why we band together for protection now. Pooling the remaining cells for the good of the herd. :D
