Is the panhandle really part of Florida? I mean, I know they drew the border that way, but...
Ridgeplate • Jun 22, 2006 12:03 pm
The panhandle is mostly a suburb of Dothan.

[*]Red tide bloom ruins vacation.
[*]Eaten by shark.
[*]Tropical depression and endless rains.
[*]Eaten by serial killer.
[*]Surprise: unexpected major hurricane!
[*]Eaten by Skunk Ape.
[*]Jellyfish sting. Don't listen to the residents: The pee myth is something we tell all tourists for fun.
[*]Stops at and becomes entranced by the Enterprise Alabama Boll Weevil Monument.
[*]Takes a wrong turn on I-10, ends up in Jacksonville and spends the rest of his life pondering "what is that smell?"
[*]Follows billboards to Ron Jon's Surf Shop, wonders what the hell is so special about it.
[*]Falls in love with the area and never leaves. Finds an abandoned trailer and makes a living with a metal detector and crab traps.

Don't get much red tide up there in the handle.
Pee does work better than nothing, but it is best to keep a container of vinegar in your first aid kit instead. (a spritzer bottle is best)
Sharks don't eat... they just taste.

Sharks take big tastes, then.

You forgot one kitsune ...

MrsZippyT gets a visit from Aunt Flo and all of the chocolate melted from the ungodly heat of the Florida Summer.

Last time I went down to the Everglades I took the below pic of an American Crocodile. South Florida is the only place where they still live.

I cant rember seeing Carol so HAPPY , just floating , drinking , busting out in spontanious laughter , and haveing the time of our lifes !!! :)

Or blasting along in the guides boat going from one fishing spot to another , every time he said " Hey , Lets go here and fish for these" , we cought the HELL out of those !!! Expencive , but WELL worth the money !!!

OK then, let me rephrase that......how deep was the line of shells? :D
zippyt • Jul 4, 2006 12:50 am
About 1-2 feet wide above the surf and about 1 foot in the surf line,
and on the Bay side ( tidal ) there was a line of what looked and felt like Oyster shells about 1-1 1/2 feet wide , no pic of that , sorry .
xoxoxoBruce • Jul 4, 2006 12:41 pm
Lot of shells, I wonder how many died of "natural causes"?
Although in the wild, I guess being eaten by a predator is a "natural cause". :D
