I moved this thread from the "Food & Drink" to "Health" because if you want to lose weight you have to get away from food & drink.;)
Check out the existing weight loss threads in this section, also.

first thing to do is start drinking a LOT of water. Second thing to consider, is to move to 6 small meals a day instead of three big ones. One thing that has helped me is having a piece of fruit or a handfull of vegies every hour, as well as a bottle of water every 90 minutes or so. This orning I weighed in at 186, I was 205 in the fall. My goal is to get to 180. So far so good, although the 2 bowls of ice cream I just had prolly didn't help, but BOY WAS IT GOOD!:D

The basic concept is simple (I've managed to work off 10 pounds in the last month through a new first in my life "exercise" as well as emotional duress and failing nutritive input)

Eat less, do more, and then get used to it. No single concept or diet is going to have lasting results, at best they serve to kick-start a lifelong healthier routine. Remember that. Any diet you don't think you can live with for the rest of your life is doomed to fail on a long enough timeline.

I know this link has floated around here a few times before, but it's solid advice, so I'm going to propogate it further: The Hacker's Diet

I wish you the best of luck.

I find my favourite diet is the 'Stress Diet'. This basically involves becoming soo stressed out that the weight literally drops off your bones ...... unfortunately this can backfire if the stress diet turns into comfort eating!

I know from observation that the Crack diet works very well, but the prepackaged meals from Nutrisystem are a lot cheaper in the long run.

I once lived for a few months on two pots of coffee per day and one box of pop-tarts. Between the stimulant of the caffiene and the lack of viable nutrients, I lost weight like nobody's business.

Probably best to supplement it with a solid daily multivitamin if you actually try it, though.

Saw a crack ho on the news last night and wondered how you could be a fat crack ho? Guess that option is out for me!

I have seen fat crack ho's. It's unusual, but it happens. Most of them are fairly new at it. (either crack or being a ho)

There are approximately 7 calories in teaspoon of sperm, I understand, so if a ho does enough business, and doesn't spit, it adds up.

No, no, no! No multivitamin! That defeats the thinning anemia that comes on from a poor diet.

So ... let me see ... that's 150 teaspoonsful for a daily calorie allowance at which you can lose weight? How many teaspoons in the average ejaculation?
