Jacquelita and I are engaged
J and I are engaged as of last night.
This woman is funny and cute and sincere and sexy and smart and kind and honest. But the main thing is, somehow we just go right together, and I will always feel that way.
I can be a total goofball with her and she only enjoys it, somehow.
She has an enormous heart and a giving nature and I find I need her way more and more.
Now that's the limitation of my mushiness here, you know I could get really seriously messy with all the lovey doveyness and etc. But there you have it, we are engaged!
Congratulations! Wow, UT, Jacquelita -- best wishes to you both!
Congratulations!!!!!!:celebrat:
PS. You need a bride and groom smilie.
Found one!
Woohoo! Congratulations to you both!
:lovers:
Congrats to you and Jacquelita!
Best wishes to you both! :)
Fantasic! Congrats! May you both be very happy.
Congratulations to you both!!!
(Now, who's in charge of the bachelor party planning??? We have to do this properly...)
So I think maybe one of my totem animals is a grammar teacher, skinny old grayhaired coldwar-era woman, glasses, ruler. She's grown complacent with age, maybe senile, too feeble either way to lift her ruler anymore.
UT engaged J?
UT & J engaged one another?
Anyhoo, congrats.
Hey, that's fantastic news.
You two are cute together.
hip hip hooray!
You two are Super Crescent Fresh!
Thanks to everyone for their heartfelt congrats!
Tony and I have been together for a few years now, and his kindness and endless thoughtfulness never cease to amaze me. I have never met a man who was more well read, or more intriqued by the quirky nature of humans.
He's funny and warm. We can talk about any topic under the sun, or say nothing at all, and remain at ease with each other.
When we're together I feel safe and relaxed. He's right we fit together - we compliment each other in ways I never would have anticipated. He's my strength and my heart. (sorry if this is all too mushy!!)
I love you honey! :lovers:
Bout time you made an honest man out of him, Jax. Congrats to you both.
Did you get Pearl's blessing? :D
congratulations!!!
HIP HIP!
Congratulations! UT and Jacquelita..all the best!
Congradulations!!
Wish we could be there on that day.Your cellar folk. What kind of wedding ceremony will you have? If you don't mind me asking. I love weddings.
Hearty Congratulations to you both!!
Holy moly - I honestly thought you two were married!
Sheeesh. I learn something new every day. :)
Best of everything to the both of you!
oh and I will be the beligerent drunk person at your reception..... just make sure I have a place to pass out, ok?
oh and I will be the beligerent drunk person at your reception.
You're going to end up with a lot of competition on that one ...

:celebrat: :lovers:
Yup! Congratulations youse guys
Awesome guys! I'm really happy for you making the leap.
Oh wow, that's wonderful!!! Do J's kids know yet?
Yes. The girl: "You're freakin' me out!"
Holy shit! This is excellent news, UT! Congrats!
All the best, truely! What about the bachlorette party??? Maybe I'll just go out and buy a new toy in your honor...:D
Admit it J, it was his humongous zucchini that put you over the edge wasn't it?
dude, we are gonna make one hell of a wedding band.
Congrats, UT. A blessing on your household.
Everything they all said goes double from me to you!
WAY TO GO!
May you be poor in misfortunes
and rich in blessings.
May you know nothing but happiness
from this day forward.
May good luck be your friend
In whatever you do
And may trouble be always
A stranger to you.
May you be buried in a
casket made from the wood
of a 100 year old oak
That I shall plant tomorrow.
May you live as long as you want,
And never want as long as you live.
Your friend,
When?:D
May I suggest a ring.
Robert Burns Polished Ring, inscribed with "To thee and me love", in Burns' own handwriting.
Once her youngest is out of school next year.
Congrats to you and J. May the blessings of God surround you.
That pretty cool B, but I was thinking of something handcrafted, like
http://www.sundancecatalog.com/jump.jsp?itemType=PRODUCT&itemID=7898Let me be the flower boy on the wedding day

Giggedy Giggedy......OOOOwwwwright!
I toast your nickety nickety nuptuals!
Good point, LJ
Since UT is all giddy and shit, maybe this would be a good time for me to ask him for a raise.

Man, that looks like it was hammered together out of gold fillings gathered by grave robbers. I know Jax has earthy qualities but she's certainly a jewel worthy of elegant setting. :stickpoke
Seriously though, that's very cool. :thumb:
Toad. I couldn't pass this up. Engaged in what? BTW Congrats bb
Man, that looks like it was hammered together out of gold fillings gathered by grave robbers.
Well it does say "earthbound".
Foot - I was wondering the same thing.
I checked my mailbox today and didnt see anything.
Well you guys can make room reservations at the Mirage just as well as we can...
Sweet. We were supposed to honeymoon in Vegas, but ended up in KC instead. We finally got to go about a month ago. I highly recommend the Zumanity Cirque show. Yes, that's the sex one, but it was soooooo funny too. Beautiful people, wonderful acrobatics/dancing, and hurt your cheeks laughing humor. Oh, and their raspberry martinis are worth the $10 a pop. Really.
Well , I predict great happiness for you Jacquelita and Undertoad , as you both complement and compliment each other .
Longue vie aux amoureux !
This is terrific news! Congrats you guys! That gardening will cement the bonds everytime! All the best and lots of love!

When will you guys be in Vegas?
Actually the whole when and where and how part is to be determined.
I'm late (as usual) but the warmest good wishes to you both.
awesome! congrats you two.
When I checked with Tiffany's, the fools said you hadn't registered yet.
Good help is sooooo hard to find. :smack:
You know as well as I do that the gift registry is going to be with newegg.
UT & J.......always brings a smile to see such good things happen. Met mine 4years ago and it's only gotten better! When's the big day??
I'm late (as usual) but the warmest good wishes to you both.
Same here. I hadn't visited here in a few days.
You know as well as I do that the gift registry is going to be with newegg.
That is so on target; very geekful Wolf.
...
Best wishes. It was great of you to share your thoughts with us.
ooh ooh do we get to have a field of 64 to determine the date, and then another one for the location.
I nominate Las Vegas.
Jacquelita wins, not only the God of dot Org, but one of the world's coolest mother-in-laws.:thumb2:
Well, I feel like I would miss the next major earthquake, so busy I have been doing other stuff. How'd I miss this gem?
From the first time UT posted a pic of Jacquelita here on The Cellar, I could tell that he'd picked a winner (or, more likely, been picked *by* a winner) :) .
Some people you can just look at and tell they're a-ok. Some people are *so* a-ok that you can even tell it in a photo. Jacquelita is that person. She exudes that sense of warmth, humor, joy and peace from her beautiful visage, effortlessly, I'm sure. You'd have to be blind to miss it. I'm even more sure that the person that she is in real life is even more obvious a person of great quality.
As for UT, well, what can be said about him?
What a deluxe pairing. Happiness ad infinitum to you both!
Awesome!!! Congratulations! I love a happy ending!
Or....a happy beginning....
Wooohoooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
My gown is almost ready so let us know when and where, UT.
Oh, and Jackie doesn't mind me wearing white, does she?
You're a sly dawg buddy!! Do we fly to Vegas or do we just rent a vehicle and drive it?
Personally, I'd fly, there's not a lot of interesting stuff to see driving through the midwest.
Don't forget to tell us where you register! (And of course it doesn't have to be a typical bed-bath-and-beyond kind of place, I had friends who registered with an Amazon wishlist and at newegg.)
But think of the road trip possibilities!
I'm with UT... pre-wedding road trip, post-wedding semi-honeymoon road trip back, real honeymoon!
But think of the road trip possibilities!
Oh yeah...MAGIC BUS...ROAD TRIP
Swing through Houston and pick up the photographer.
And stop in Raytown, Missouri for a pre-ceremony, ceremony and blessing.
And we could stop in Kansas and get some religion....and....and.........:band:

O contraire, mon fil! If they wait until next spring, they can wander through the
Creationism Museum in Northern Kentucky.
PETERSBURG, Ky. - Like most natural history museums, this one has exhibits showing dinosaurs roaming the earth. Except here, the giant reptiles share the forest with Adam and Eve.That, of course, is contradicted by science, but that’s the point of the $25 million Creation Museum rising fast in rural Kentucky.
Its inspiration is the Bible — the literal interpretation that contends God created the heavens and the earth and everything in them just a few thousand years ago.
“We’re going to show you that we can make sense of the different people groups, we can make sense of fossils, we can make sense of what you see in the world,” he said.Visitors to the museum, a few miles from Cincinnati, will be able to watch the story of creation unfold in a 180-seat special-effects theater, see a 40-foot-tall (12-meter-tall) re-creation of a section of Noah’s Ark and stare into the jaws of robotic dinosaurs.
If you do go, please mail me an Adam and Eve among the Dinosaurs postcard!:D
Actually, this museum will serve an important purpose. It will make the residents of Kansas look cosmopolitan in comparison.
I had hoped to be wed in Vegas by an Elvis impersonator. Is that your plan?
We don't need no stinking plan!
How will you both know where to go and when? What if you miss each other that day because you didn't have a plan? LOL
We don't need no stinking plan!
If you change your mind, go here to
http://www.visitlasvegas.com. You can build an itinerary of shows, restaurants, shopping, etc. and save it.
I knew there was a lot of stuff, but between the 'free stuff' like the wildlife exhibits built into some casinos and the Treasure Island show, and the Vegas shows, we have listed a lot of stuff.
Uh, Rich....all they need is an official Marryin' Sam and a bed.
I recently broke off with a guy from S.D. and we had our wedding set for Sturgis this year, right now actually. It would have been a blast.
My luck sucks with guys. He does not talk. Period. LOL
I married one man I had never met before after 5 months talking online. He was from Boston (I love Americans). We had the marriage licence waiting if we felt we clicked. We did.
I say go for the thrills you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never been conventional although you'd never know it to see me. I'm an accountant too!
But thrills and adventures are priceless. The more and the more spontaneous the better!
You have the right attitude! :D
Congratulations, UT. I hope you have finally found the happiness that has eluded you.
(And of course, congrats to you too, Jacquelita!)
