I just got back from seeing it.

Wow.

I hope they donated the proceeds (providing that there are any) to something....

Exactly... no big freakin' cresting wave in deep water.
Another bad remake of another bad movie.
No imagination in Hollyweird... so glad I got out of that place. Indie is the only way to go.

Don't be too hasty...

Now that is just messin' with me... how the hell do they crest with nothing underneath them to push them up?
Makes no damn sense at all.
Happy Monkey • May 19, 2006 11:19 am
A crest isn't caused by something pushing it up, it is caused by two layers of water moving in opposite directions - the top layer crests. That is almost guaranteed on a shore, somewhat likely in shallow water, and less likely in deep water. But in deep water, when it happens, it can be BIG.

"Two large ships sink every week on average," said Wolfgang Rosenthal, of the GKSS Research Centre in Geesthacht, Germany.

holy crap. go read cycle's link. I had no idea that many ships went down.

In 10 years the ocean will be so full of containers you'll be able to walk across it.

Cool... thanks, I love learning something new.

I am just not getting this need to remake perfectly good movies, especially when there was already a crappy made-for-TV remake of this within the last year.

What's next, Towering Inferno and Earthquake?

Probably.
rkzenrage • May 24, 2006 12:27 am
Them & Kingdom of the Spiders probably.

Just so long as no one tries to remake Mars Needs Women.

I cherish this movie.

Seriously.

holygoddess--why must I wade thru all of this tripe to get to wolf's opinion(=goddess opinion) WHY?
wolf • May 24, 2006 2:18 pm
The jewels just seem all the brighter because of it, Bri.
