DucksNuts • May 8, 2006 5:30 am
Awwww, what a cutie.

I miss my horseys, but I just dont have time to ride them, and well, they are well and truely spoiled by the girlie that is riding them.

Too cute CycleFrance

so cool

"Just showed up"... uh-huh. "But Daaaaaaad, he followed me home from school, honest!" That sounds really familiar. I'm just guessing here, not being a horse person, but somebody's missing their pet, and probably all their fingernails worrying.

Have you contacted the <strike>dog</strike>horse pound? Some little girl is counting on you.

WELCOME BACK UT!

Cute pony, what's the real story? :)
barefoot serpent • May 8, 2006 11:31 am
I'd fire up the ol' branding iron and make it mine!

You have the best of both worlds. You can just walk over to the fence, pet it, give it treats, spoil it and then go home...... like a grandparent.;)

Spot on! And don't have to groom and feed her either. The little lady is surprisingly confident. Most foals we come across are more inclined to be shy and timid, but I think this one is influenced by its mother who will come over at a single call and enjoys being stroked. Junior is the same, as she is copying the way her mother acts. Will no doubt bore you with some more photos as the days/weeks go by...

Bore me, bore me, she's a great photo subject. :thumb:
skysidhe • May 8, 2006 4:11 pm
Is she a welsh pony?
charlene • May 8, 2006 5:24 pm

RE: the first pony. Where's the dental floss bush?
wolf • Jun 7, 2006 2:05 am
Are they Connemaras? The heads seem finer than Welsh's. How many hands are they, it's tough to get a good idea of scale.
Cyclefrance • Jun 11, 2006 6:51 pm
I haven't been able to track down the owners of the stables yet to find out - he's a bit elusive.

Meanwhile, however, he has moved the foal and his mother back to the main field, so some more photos - junior has grown and sports a mohican haircut whilen mum looks pregnant again!

Junior is definitely developing into a bit of a poser, and he's a bit nosey too!

Just two more for the road...

If they hang you for horse theivery, what do they do for steling a pony? Just choke you for awhile?
skysidhe • Jun 13, 2006 10:47 am
beautiful palomino

I think they look like welsh ponys
.( @ wolf, yes the heads seem finer. It's hard to tell scale. I agree. They seem bigger than a miniature? ) As far as I can tell we might be thinking of the Welsh mountain pony which is a hand shorter or so and stocky?

We had a welsh pony. Best pal in the world.
Trilby • Jun 13, 2006 1:22 pm
magickal ponies! how cool!
Elspode • Jun 14, 2006 12:10 am
Looks like they might make good housepets...given a large house, that is.
wolf • Jun 14, 2006 2:14 am
When I was in college we debated the merits of genetically engineering apartment-sized cows. They would be about big enough for a good cheesesteak.
Griff • Jun 14, 2006 6:52 am
just in case you didn't know... they exist
DucksNuts • Jun 14, 2006 7:14 am
Dontcha just want to cuddle him :)
Trilby • Jun 14, 2006 9:34 am
I'm getting seriously worried about wolf. She simply cannot be allowed to have any pets. All she thinks about is how to cook them and I don't think that's healthy for her or the pet. Maybe she could have a pet carrot...
sycomunkeyx • Jun 14, 2006 9:12 pm
wow adorable

Wow, I've been saying I want a pet cow for years. My 4 year old niece didn't think one could live in the 4th floor walk-up I inhabited at the time.

Just wait until I show my boyfriend how well that little cow will fit in the old dog kennel!
:)
