A great, yet expensive place to live. Not many other places can you be at the beach and within 60 minutes traverse the mountains (such as they are) and be in the desert. Every kind of lifestyle and entertainment is available, even excellent skiing is a mere 3 hours away. Outside of the cost of housing and fuel, there's no better place, imo. :D
And Tijuana, don't forget Tijuana. :lol:

my daughter was conceived at the US Grant hotel in downtown San Diego. Great city. Amazing restaurants.
