Too Early

When you hear the first chirps of the early birds
And the worms have given up all hope of survival
When the red sky sends its vanguard rays through your office window
And you know that sleep will elude you well into the afternoon...

Only then will you know that you have finally defeated the monster that is your clock radio.

Internal haymakers like a roses first blush.
The glint of dew on emerald grass soft to the touch.
I ought be in bed, snoring, I think as I peek-peep at the sun.
The birds are singing some feasing song.
Instead of fighting writers block I could pretend I was warbling along.
