Some of "Lifes Littles Pleasures" for you?

Cheyenne • Apr 19, 2006 11:51 am
I put on a new pair of socks the other morning and they felt so....."ahhhhh"...I thought, what a simple little thing that gave me pleasure.

Now sitting here typing and hearing birds singing morning songs, my cats both on the chair next to me purrrrrring.

Soon a pot of coffee will begin to perk and the aroma will be so inviting, that first sip will be savored on the porch as I melt at the view of the magnificent snow covered mountain just beyond my grasp.

The children still slumber, the silence of nature and quiet surroundings befall my mind..... ahhhhhh.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Looks like I made one of "Lifes Little BooBoo's" "Littles". Perhaps I should have awaited the passing of coffee over my lips and into my blood stream before I typed this title.
DOH!
Clean sheets.
Reading the funnies on Sunday morning.
Long hot shower with no toilet flushes.
Elspode • Apr 19, 2006 12:14 pm
My cat, Merlin, snuggling up in the crook between my neck and shoulder, langorously seeking attention, and purring in my ear as a reward.
A deep, rolling synth bass note with lots of edgy buzzing from a just-right filter resonance.
The unexpected smell of flowers wafting to me on a spring morning.
Making the perfect railgun shot on an airborne opponent in Quake Arena and watching him explode in a fine mist of pixelicious gore.
Luckily I had swallowed before reaching this line.
Do you know about bzflag? Free and lots of net fun.
Waking up in the morning and realizing that it's my day off, and someone's already made the coffee.
The smell of antique shops with wooden floors.
The feeling you get when you pull up to your campsite and know that you will be bowhunting for the next 3 days.
Playing some guitar riff you never get right, and it lands perfectly without any conscious thought.
Cyclefrance • Apr 19, 2006 2:28 pm
The downhill ride after the hard cycle up
A book you don't want to put down
A cool glorious morning sunrise with the sounds of the birds as they start their day, and that damp fresh scent of the countryside
My son offering to buy me a pint (no, hang on, that's never happened)
I d/l'ed this from Sourceforge or some such place awhile back, and was too damn stupid to figure out how to set it up.
Smell of a backyard BBQ on a warm sunny day &/or fresh cut grass.
The look on Mr. chainsaw's face after "morning love"... or any kind of "love" for that matter.
Laughing and screaming my guts out on The Tower of Terror (best ride at Disney's California Adventure).
thrillhouse • Apr 19, 2006 3:21 pm
sunrise and you walk the dog(s) when you are the only souls out and about.
fresh cotton bedsheets.
that "special" time of late afternoon sunshine. not yet dusk nor twilight. ya know the time i'm talking about.
a day of sun and swimming, after you get out of the shower, moisturized and you feel your skin kissed by the rays.
Kagen4o4 • Apr 19, 2006 7:21 pm
looking back up the snow covered mountain ive just flew down on a thin board strapped to my feet.
seeing scorpio for the first time since summer ended
seeing orion for the first time since winter ended
having a girl nearly kick my head away from between her legs because it became all to much.
still standing after finishing the whole bottle of vodka.
DucksNuts • Apr 19, 2006 7:30 pm
Freshly waxed legs on clean sheets...bliss!!
The first sip of my Tall Mochachino in the morning.
Sunny spring day with a breeze.
seakdivers • Apr 19, 2006 7:41 pm
Walking in the front door of your house after travelling for weeks.
Pulling up one of your crab pots and seeing that nobody robbed the crab out of it.
Seeing your fishing pole pop off the downrigger and hearing your line zinging out.
Squeezing the trigger on the first deer of the season. (sorry PETA people)
Walking out into the yard and seeing the first flower of the year..... or seeing my first rose bloom of the year.
The afterglow from hosting a dinner party that went off without a hitch.
Hmmm..... there's lots more.
Kagen4o4 • Apr 24, 2006 1:58 am
hey! if i dont get to know what youre doing every minute of the day, i will kill you. and your family.
but thats not me. i like to take a woman out on a nice date, maybe dinner and a bar with live music. then tell her how beautiful she is and how nice her hair and shoes are. then after 5 beers and she needs to go to the bathroom. i casually, yet seductively, slip the rohypnol into her next drink. soon she will fall into my arms and ill magically sweep her off her feet. i will then take her back to my place, light some candles, put on some soft music as the evening winds down, then help her into the school girls outfit. as she fumbles around ill make a clever joke like "looks like someone had a few too many wines at dinner, ah ah ha ha".
sorry but it gets a little personal from there.
i know what women want.
DucksNuts • Apr 24, 2006 6:25 am
C'mon Kagen, I expect better of you, Rohypnol is soooo out, or in, or retro, or whatever we fucken decided was out?
Anyways, they modified rohypnol so it turns blue when you add it to liquid, so unless your giving your lady friend 5 or 6 Illusions or some such crud...she will be all over your little game.
GHB is the drug of choice these days :p
skysidhe • Apr 24, 2006 9:50 am
@Ducknuts and Kagen
Most women my age would be so willing without the drug....just promise not to call in the morning :P
why deal with men when we got BOB??
:p
DucksNuts • Apr 24, 2006 7:22 pm
BOB can only get you so far I reckon, then you want a Man, then you dont want the Man because of all that stuff that goes with him :p
Cheyenne • Apr 24, 2006 8:50 pm
men.... fuck um (not really)
confused yet?
I have had it with the lot of them. live, love, laugh, learn, retire, die.
I am on the last two :)
I dont get why some men are amazed that women just want a fuck sometimes.
Dont leave your number, dont hang around in the morning, and if you must leave your number, dont call me...I'll call you :D
Hot Sex,
Sleeping In,
Clean warm sheets when you crawl into bed,
Cold water to drink or swim on a steamy summer day...
To say the least.
A well packed pipe and a perfectly chilled Guinness to go with it.... smoking it, drinking it while watching the bats do their thing at dusk on the porch on a good pain day.
My son's unsolicited "I wuv ju' ".
My wife's... none of your damn business.
