Self-Involved

Trilby • Mar 25, 2006 5:04 pm
How self-involved are you? The threads that get the biggest hits are (usually) threads that ask you something about yourself. Sometimes I feel that people here are not so much interested in others as they are interested in hearing themselves yammer on and on.

Just an observation.

Mileage may vary.

I don't mind if you guys talk about yourself. Y'all are pretty interesting folks =D
Elspode • Mar 25, 2006 9:45 pm
How self-involved am I? Well...when I read your post, Bri, I thought that you had accidentally posted something that you had meant as a PM to me alone.

Actually, UT created the Cellar just for me. Did somebody say something?
lumberjim • Mar 25, 2006 11:53 pm
by 'you guys', i assume you mean yourself?

i, personally am the epitome of humility, and i challenge you to state otherwise. i'm so selfless infact, that i usually only re read my own posts 7 or 8 times.

here are some more interesting facts about me:

1. I'm a great lover.
2. I look damn sexy in a black suit
3. I can come up with an analogy for almost anything on the spot, and make sense.
4. my singing voice is phenomenal. especially my twangy country singer one.
5. Irony is my friend.

pfft, youre full of it. if this was true then all id be doing would be saying im australian, taking about maths and looking for easy ways to lightly insult people. or to make jokes that might make people smile but never laugh
Beestie • Mar 26, 2006 2:14 am
I don't reply to threads I didn't start.
Rock Steady • Mar 26, 2006 2:26 am
My observation is that the threads that get the most action are those about Brianna's love life. ;)
marichiko • Mar 26, 2006 4:34 am
Actually, the hugest, longest running thread here is the word association one. "This is not porn" seems to have gone on forever, too, and that one seems to be about people trying to solve some obscure never ending puzzle. Neither one really allows people to go on and on about themselves, so I think there are some holes in your theory.. Of couse, I seldom post to those threads myself.

Oh, I was just being morose yesterday. Bad news came in the mail--why is it that bad-news mail always comes on Saturday when you can't do anything about it? And, my ex is being a real PITA.

My tag-line, "Is Done" is there to remind me that I NEED to be done with a lot of things.

I wish I'd started this thread...

I've got a pretty bad headache today. It's like a hangover, except I haven't had anything to drink for several days. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.

I like to talk and I like to hear from others. I rock, but so do a lot of other peeps.

Might as well get blasted if you're going to feel that way anyhow. Besides, you deserve it, because in this thread, its all about you. I mean me.

I didn't read any of the responses so far. I just clicked to the end. I assume everyone was talking about how great I am.

"How self-involved are you?" Incredibly.

I better get some action on my threads or I am Audi . . .

Learn to tolerate me, and you won't regret it, mostly
Stevonez • Mar 28, 2006 1:25 pm
...
:worried: I hope no one has video of my self involvement :worried:
SteveBsjb • Mar 28, 2006 1:26 pm
CBOL, Dev.

I usually only enter threads about me, or started by me. But since this one was called "Self involved" I thought it was about me. Now it kinda is.
