So many to choose from not on the list. footfootfoot, beestie, pi/e, Cyclefrance, Busterb, omg I'll stop before leaving anyone out because there are about 25 other people I'd like to meet. This is not a suckup to get your votes though. You just never know what people will be like irl. irl I'm introverted to a fault (unless on stage).
xoxoxoBruce • Mar 11, 2006 6:56 pm
TW of course.
I'd love to <S> get my han</S> shake his hand.
marichiko • Mar 11, 2006 7:28 pm
I wanna meet da Bruce man - a dweller actually older (and most likely wiser than me)! Plus, I bet he's really cute in real life!

Kitsune. Seems like a cool frood.

Oh, and the new system doesn't seem to be letting my edit my posts, so I'll just add that I really, really wanna meet my evil twin, Tonchi! In fact, I bet we WILL meet some day and have an absolute blast! Watch out world!
Saddam Hussein • Mar 11, 2006 7:47 pm
It would be an honor for me to meet Mr. TW. I find his articles and comments correct and well written nearly 100% of the time.

When I return to power he shall be my first choice for Minister of Prop-...ah, I mean information.

Now if you will excuse me, I have to return to my cell.
Buddha • Mar 11, 2006 8:03 pm
I wanna meet God. He's been ignoring me lately. Maybe its due to the time God Jr. and I hid out in sub basement 3 of the World Prayer Center, drank a bunch of sacramental wine and made all those Bibles levitate. Come on, God! I thought you were supposed to be ALL FORGIVING!
God • Mar 11, 2006 8:13 pm
Cheney's been the one to watch over lately, for Me's sake...I go off to the bathroom for just a minute and he blasts his pal. That man requires constant supervision.

Now you tell me that's W's hanging out with Buddha in my absence?

UT, xoxoxoBruce, Clodfobble, LJ, Zippyt, Wolf, jag, tw, slang, rich, HM, Billy, Radar, smoothM, hot pastrami, and quite a few others...

fargon • Mar 12, 2006 3:30 pm
Is there ever a meeting of the Dwellars?
marichiko • Mar 12, 2006 3:48 pm
Forks. But it happens out East. Those of us west of the Mississippi have talked at times about holding a Western Forks, but nothing has ever come of it. I imagine that being in Wisc., you might be able to make the eastern Forks. I think Wolf tends to be the organizer behind it.
SteveDallas • Mar 12, 2006 4:09 pm
Forks is not exactly a Cellar thing, but a separate event that happens to draw a number of Dwellars in the Philadelphia area.
Pi • Mar 12, 2006 4:13 pm
What about a western europe meeting? :stickpoke
richlevy • Mar 12, 2006 4:50 pm
Well, I've already met a few of the people on the list, so does that mean I should vote for them again?

BTW, Forks is a lot of fun. I'd like to thank Wolf for inviting me a few years ago and Bob (non-Cellar) for not kicking me out.:) The first year I went was a little crazy, and the last two have been more mellow but fun.
SteveDallas • Mar 12, 2006 6:44 pm

Sounds cool, but hard to justify to Mrs RS for me to go to like Utah for a Cellar gathering. Going to a Steeler game in Minneapolis she understood. marichiko, you sound like a handful, a gathering with you would be something.

For another Forum, we had a gathering of 5 in SF. We all thought it was weird talking to people we never met in person before as if we had know them for years. One of them I still speak on the phone and go to dinner with occasionally
Later I met 3 in Chicago and 4 in Seattle. On the whole, meeting people IRL from forums has been very mixed. Never met anyone from the Cellar.

I am posting to procratinate from desparately needed filing and mailing.
Rock Steady • Mar 12, 2006 7:55 pm
There are other cool people here that have not yet been mentioned. Let me correct this injustice.

Well yeah, all of the 'I have to warn you there might be naked drunk crazy people' lectures from Wolf did lead to a bit of a letdown when we found that she was referring to the Forks of years past.

Still, the people are nice, the food is good, and there were were some very interesting moments.
Kagen4o4 • Mar 13, 2006 12:09 am
i wouldnt want to meet any of you. i probably wouldnt have anything to say. but as long as i see you all in the cellar, the conversations never run dry. its not a bad thing that i dont want to meet any of you. its just that i have trouble remembering my irl friends as it is. ok thats a lie but you're all fabulous people that i never want to meet. your like nurses in a cancer ward. great people, but somethings wrong if you meet them.

Sun_Sparkz • Mar 13, 2006 3:22 am
there are a few i would like to meet i guess.. however i wouldnt want to damage any online illusions by meeting people irl and having nothing to say, or if they were weird.

i have formed closer friendships with a few ppl here, mostly super_baton who is just a darling- we have spoken on the phone - but thats the closest i've gotten to meeting anyone.

i would like to hang out with Rock Steady (without the dress ;) ) go kayaking with LJ and Jinx, eat cake with Wolf, go for a scenic ride with cylcefrance, have drinks with catwoman, watch tv with Jag, meet with Undertoad of course, and just have a big bonfire party with ALL of those 150 "active" users.

I picked bruce -- i really want to see the dodads, they are leet. It was kind of a tie between him and UT and wolf, though. All for various reasons, not the least of which is sexual frustration.
FallenFairy • Mar 13, 2006 11:42 am
First pick at this point would be XOBruce... since joining the Cellar I basically live in the archives and lurk... but that Bruce... well he's insightful and damn funny.
glatt • Mar 13, 2006 12:33 pm
Like many, I put tw down.

For me, it's that the guy is so mysterious. The rest of us talk a little about ourselves and our lives, maybe even post a picture or two. I feel like I already know many of you. But not tw. For all his posts, I know nothing of the guy. Is he actually a guy? I can't remember him ever saying he was.

I don't even know what state he lives in, although I think maybe it's Florida? That thread about the odds of cutting an underground power line rather than an overhead one being knocked out, I seem to remember him talking about Florida. Or maybe it was someone else.

i THINK tw is a guy coz when I said I'd blow whoever yada-yada-yada he was all for it (and, I think he actually won, but, don't quote me, coz, dude, I am NOT reliable.)

#2) I want to meet wolf and jinx (only befitting that a submissive dog meet the dominant ones) and, of course, xob (so he can call me 'cunt' to my face) and RS (so I can appropriate his wardrobe) and NBN so I can cop his medicine. I also wish to meet mrnoodle-for sex only-richlevy, coz I dig the Jewish thing, and Cyclefrance. He calls me Claudette, and that turns me on.

No, really. I want to meet you all. The above sounds like I'm a sociopath and I am pretty sure that I am not. but, bring meds at your own risk, K? :)

I think Wolf would be fascinating to meet in real person, and not because she's a "big dog," but rather because she seems quite intelligent and I actually like her very sardonic sense of humor. Plus, I like the idea of a gal classy enough to pack her own gun and know how to use it. Jinx? Hmmmm... She's an enigma to me. I wouldn't mind talking to her, but I bet I'd come away from the conversation feeling more puzzled than ever. I think you and I have a lot in common, Bri. We'd probably talk poetry and lit and good drugs till dawn. Noodle looks sexier than hell from his pic, but far too young for me, plus we'd probably start a war of some sort if we ever got to talking politics or religion. I'd like to shake UT's hand as a worth adversary. Kitsune, I'd like to give a big motherly hug to. Beestie I'd like to have a bataka war with. I wanna see if I could convince LJ to buy a computer from Sears. I MUST hear Patrick's music live, and he knows who to e-mail if he ever breaks up with the missus! Lookout, I respect the hell out of, as much as we disagree on just about everything - I still think he's way cool! Dar's a sweetheart and I wanna shake his hand, too. Slang, I wanna drink under the table. Cyclefrance, I wanna swap tall tales with and hear his baritone voice, plus I hope he brings along his clever son to make up songs for us all. I think zippy and I would get along great cuz he's a good ole boy like my Dad was. BusterB and I could carry on a flirtation which would probably amuse us both. Yeah, I'd love to meet every last one of you guys, so there!

I've been fortunate enough to meet quite a few Dwellars IRL primarily because of Cellar's Philly base, and I think I can call several of them friends. I think I'd like to meet plthijinx and elspode the most of those I haven't met yet. Ep is a fellow Missourian and good people. And plt is friends with NBN, so he has to be cool...and nuts. NBN and I hung out when he came to Philly 5 years ago and we had a great time. Plt and Ep are followed by BigV, Perth, Case, RS, Mari, Radar and too many others to name.

note to all, I am travelling about he country and may be available to meet, assuming you can travel to a nearby truck stop. Watch the thread Another Cellarite fades into the distance for updates on my location and intended travel lanes.

Currently in Cheyenne WY, on my way to Butte, MT. More info as it becomes available. Mari, I went right by you today! I came up I25, stopped for chains (won't need em but what the heck? Better safe than sorry) and crawled through Denver at rush hour. Gotta love that. They see a broken down Mustang on the side and stop all traffic! Are you thinking what I'm thinking Mari....?
Cyclefrance • Mar 23, 2006 5:37 am
I have this ambition to cycle from Calais to Cannes before I eventually one day have to hang up the cycle clips. What would be miles (and I do mean miles!) better still would be to find out where all yoos USA guys and gals are located and do it across the States instead - not that my little ol' legs would handle the whole enchilada, but a bit of motoring plus cycling might just work out.

Favourites? to be absolutely honest there are such differing and interesting personalities here that it would be very difficult to put one over the other. Of, course, based on a number of closer conversations we have had the list would definitely include Marichiko, Sun Sparkz (you'd have to arrange a trip to the States at the same time as I did this, young lady), Elspode, Brianna, Undertoad, xoxoxoBruce, BigV, Slang, BusterB, Lookout123 - there are loads more I want to add, but unfortunately I have just been given a pile of work to do:(

It's simple really. There were these aliens who all looked like Monica Lewinsky drove around in Hummers, trying to take over the human race by sucking the life out of them (leave where they sucked to your imagination) - you'd have to go to the Creative thread and dig around for the communal story to get the rest of the plot....

Because I'm a narcissistic media whore, I thought it would be fun to put up some cameras and show the whole process to anyone who wants to login and watch. That's what 30dropframe.com is all about.

UT - He's right on the money ... in 1993. The industry has changed pretty radically along the way, including the sophistication of artists. They've done the math, they know much the numbers don't favor them. The major labels are in a position now where their biggest worries is no longer that a hot artist will sign with another major instead of them, its that the artist will stay indie and make twice as much money. The Big 4 don't have a monopoly on signing artists anymore. Indie is a financially viable route.

So, the contracts are changing, slowly. He's still right on alot of the principles, the numbers are obviously different.

And yeah, I have some things I've done that are "mailbox money". I have a few songs on some records that did pretty well, two national commercials, one song buried on a Disney movie soundtrack, and about a dozen records for indie artists that are still selling. It doesn't add up to six figures, but it adds up to enough of a steady income base that I can be a little choosy about the projects I want to take. Like, I don't have to play weddings anymore.

I am so pleased to have found a forum with some really funny and smart people.

I added the some of you that immediatly attracted my attenton to my buddy list but I swear I could add about half of you all.

It was hard to pick one out of my list since I havn't gotten to get to know anyone yet but I had to go with the cowgirl since that is what I am as well.

The Albini speech reminds me of Courtney Loves speech at the Digital Hollywood Conference.

This is why, for all of her flaws, I still consider Courtney f***able.

How are you going to release the 30dropframe project, beyond the real-time part of it?
smoothmoniker • Apr 6, 2006 9:35 pm
dunno yet. I'm finding that the best things I end up doing start with no real plan. I'm going to try to make a great album, then see what kind of life it has beyond that.

FloridaDragon • Apr 25, 2006 12:56 am
I picked Brianna ... after all I have read on this forum, she sounds like the wildest and most interesting person here. (IMHO)
Others I would enjoy meeting would be the grand Undertoad and his trusty sidekick xob. Also Kitsune as a fellow Floridian. Oh yeah, Wolf as a fellow gun fanatic.
The last category would be people I would like to meet to slap some sense into (if that would even be possible), that would be dov and tw for sure. Not sure what planet they live on but it ain't this one :D

Drinks n' darts at Ybor City Brewery every weekend that permits it. This is usually preceded by blue crab pasta and/or Cuban sandwiches at Carmine's on 7th. All are welcome, especially if you're bad at darts and like to shoot cricket.

Maybe i should ask this in the cellar thread?

Maybe i should stop aking questions?

Are there now SO many questions that you will not answer any of them?

Very hard to pick one......so I am gonna cheat and pick four!

SundaeGirl, cause I think we'd get on like a house on fire
SkySidhe, for similar reasons
Phil, cause I saw his picture on the What do You Look Like RFN thread, and he's a bit tasty.
Rkzenrage, cause I think he'd be really interesting company.

There are so many:

SG
Sheldon
Bruce
Flint
Spexx
Brianna
UT
LJ
Dana
SteveDallas
Aliantha
Griff
Glatt
monster

etc and so on...

Hell, it's too hard to list them without leaving someone out. There are some awesome people in the Cellar.

I don't want to meet just one Dwellar.

I really do just want a big Cellar Bar where I can sit all night and watch you all come in and out. I'll be with the party girls in the corner, when I'm not sitting on the laps of men old enough to be my father ;)

Flint- for history sake. to make amends ect.
Dana and SG because I think we'd have alot of interesting conversations.
Bruce because I'm just curious. I can't marry the photo to the person I think he is in my head.
RK, I think this person could be a friend to anyone. A real person.
