Cate Blanchett is hot

footfootfoot • Feb 25, 2006 12:07 am
I just needed to get this off my chest.

She is so completely hot.
Elspode • Feb 25, 2006 4:17 am
Well, duh. :yum:

Have you been watching LOTR again, footfootfoot? You geek! :D
Griff • Feb 25, 2006 8:15 am
Sorry guys, I just don't see it.
xoxoxoBruce • Feb 25, 2006 10:01 am
LOTR or hotness?
She looks unapproachable, to me. :(
Griff • Feb 25, 2006 10:07 am
Her hotness is in doubt.
footfootfoot • Feb 25, 2006 10:53 am
Actually just saw "the life aquatic". I'm not sure if I liked it or not. Except for the parts with CB, who is unquestionable hot and very approachable. (at least in my fevered imagination)

Ah, youth. :D

Hotness is only partially appearance. Cate Blanchett is regal, poised and amazingly talented. her Academy Award winning channeling of the spirit of the late Kate Hepburn is indisputable proof of that. Also...she's just hot.

I also admire women who are so secure in their beauty and talent that they don't succumb to the Hollyweird pressure to buy a bigger pair of boobs.

Amen Brother Elspode!
CAN I GET A WITNESS??

The first movie I saw her is was some crap about air traffic controllers and she played a Long island house wife. Her L.I. accent was so good I had no idea she wasn't from long island.

She is possibly the next Meryl Streep, in close contest with Julianne Moore.
Griff • Feb 25, 2006 10:16 pm
Ah, see thats the rub. Streep makes my skin crawl. CB is fine except her face her voice and her acting. :headshake

I blame alcohol for not being nice here. Maybe I was testing F3s infamous temper. ;) I liked her in Shipping News but I can't say found her attractive.

Streep is always to "big" on screen for me. I can't suspend disbelief when she is in a movie. I just see Merl acting. She'd probably work better on stage.

she has that kind of "stunning" ethereal beauty that i wouldn't necessarily call hot.....although i have seen her in movies and in a couple of pics where i she does look downright hot. she has this sort of soft radiance to her, very classy. a good example of this is the small role she plays in the talented mr. ripley.
thrillhouse • Mar 15, 2006 3:11 pm
^ ^ definately. there are so many definitions of what is attractive. hmmmm, would you rather be hawt or handsome? (some women are extremely handsome. Lauren Bacal) in Cate's first movie hit here in U.S., Elizabeth, she was absolutely stunning. in The Shipping News, a great skank!
NoBarkDawg • Apr 11, 2006 6:52 pm
...not sure who is who.. But the chick in the top pic is "okay", the chick in the bottom two, I would've said is "okay" as well, until I seen the very bottom one... Calling her hot is like sugar coating a piece of shit, and calling it a candy bar.
Beestie • Apr 11, 2006 8:16 pm
I bet she's hotter than your mom.
Griff • Jun 17, 2006 9:43 pm
Apologizing to Ms. Blanchett again, just watched Veronica Guerin (sp?) she was great and attractive.
