i haven't been around too much as of late because back in december, just before x-mas i was let go from the company that i worked for and have been without a "normal" job since with the exception of a few flying jobs here and there and helping a friend of mine with his home improvement company. anyway, the point is that i went on an interview this morning with a pipeline company and it went really well and i should know something today. i'm really excited about this! (that and the $12/hr raise from my previous rate that i'll get too!)
What would you be doing for the pipeline company? (I know, obviously flying)
I sure hope you get the job!
actually, electrical design for metering stations but, yeah, if i can get a pipeline flying job for my friends flying school/FBO that would be cool too.....
plthijinx, you have my empathies regarding your employment situation. Chin up, good things are ahead of <strike>us,</strike>you. A raise if $12/hour would be impossible in the same company, but the jarring change you're in the midst of can make such things possible, more than possible, REAL.
Just watch out for Ms. Pipeline. I saw a headline that said "Twelve Men Die Laying Virginia Pipeline.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I GOT THE JOB!!!! YES! I start March 1st!!
oh yeah, and the pay rate is what i was promised and that's WITH insurance!! oh hell yeah! sssssuuuuuhhhhhWEET!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
