in my opinion, the same sun rises and sets over everybody. we are all the top of evolution at this time and should act like it. the only thing that matters is where we are going and whats out there for us, not what oil or land belongs to which group of people that vary nearly unnoticably genetically. we've made a comfy seat for ourselves and sat it so long that our arses are getting sore so we're all angry. we need to stand up and look around.

He's actually more of an asshole in person than on TV. One talks about people who blow smoke at a desk "No Smoking Please" sign. I've seen Lou Dobbs to just that. His conversation was even more in-your-face. I'm glad I was just a fly-on-the-wall in that meeting. Whew.

To themselves.
xoxoxoBruce • Apr 9, 2006 9:54 am
To themselves
Really? You feel you have to justify your existence to yourself?

I find that strange.....then by extension, if you can't justify, what happens? Suicide? Apology? More searching?

What criteria would you use or reject for an acceptable justification?

Does the justification have to be a positive impact or can lack of negative impact do?

I didn't even know I was supposed to be doing it. :smack:
funkykule • Apr 9, 2006 11:58 am
I didn't mean that it was a conscious decision. I just think that with all the obvious reasons out there to view your life as a failure (e.g compared to all the people percieved to be better off than you in "happiness stakes", such as financially, emotionally, socially etc)
BUT, as one of my teachers told me, no matter how low you are on the heap, there are always people lower than you that make you feel better. And as a response- I think that peple who are depressed can't see this "upside" (IMHO!)
I'd also like to say that Bruce, you are probably one of my favourite Cellarites, in that I usually get a lot from your postings, so thanks!
