ymmv makes it so motorcycle-centric. "oooo your motorcycle gets some mileage, more than my car... oooo". BUT. SMRT is JIM-centric. that's a statement about you, not about yer ride.

My thoughts are that anyone who knows the term is internet savvy.
So they know the context it is used in.
They won't take it literally.
