Meh - Mum's Bread & Butter Pudding was decent.
But the one we used to sell in Hampshires Bakery... It marched to a different tune. I wouldn't say I was a purist. But don't mess with the good stuff. Bread & Butter Pudding. Caesar Salad. Bacon Cob. Yorkshire Puddings.

The best hoagie in the Northeast has to be Greenman's, near Harbison and Levick Streets, on Robbins. Once saw a guy get mugged for his hoagie, only to hear the mugger yell, "Fuck! Corned Beef!" and throw it back at the guy. LONG lines...
