Of course I'm right. Would I lie to you? (If it didn't involve money or sex)

I got a new Blackberry for work.

My old one was 5 years old. My new one is brand new. Yay!

It even has a camera and a 3G network.

SonofV cries foul!

"Not gonna happen! CAN'T happen! NOT POSSIBLE!"

He's ... skeptical.

Was it the coffee maker that tipped him off? I mean you are in Seattle!

It took a few days and many many phone calls (and also pitting them against Comcast, of course) but I managed to get ATT Uverse to give me the $30 discount I wanted in order to stay with them. My sign up special ended this month and my bill increased by $30. They even threw in free HBO for 3 months. I even eliminated the phone (we are sticking with our cells for now) and added HD. So instead of paying $130 (after all taxes and fees), I'm only paying $100 for u200 (I have to have Bravo for Top Chef!) with HD and DVR (I am totally addicted to being able to record up to 4 channels at once - I can barely stand to watch anything with commercials now) in two rooms and internet. Now I can watch my new HD TV in good conscience - Ive been trying to budget.

I'm pretty satisfied.

Unfortunately its only for 6 months, so I will have to do this all over again in July.

yesterday we got a notecard in the post. It was addressed to "neighbor", Usually means a request for donations. But no. Inside it read:

Dear Neighbor,
Thank you for keeping your Christmas lights burning! In the cold, colorless dreary winter, they are a bright spot that warms and cheers my heart and lifts my spirit each evening as I drive by.
Thanks again, a [neighborhood] resident.

Awesome, thanks, neighbor -they cheer us up too, that's why we do it. So happy to hear they work for others -we were a little worried they night piss people off because this is a "cookie cutter" neighborhood and we're heading into "way out of season".
