That's because you're a manly man with a natural aversion to cosmo.

What is this?

No, really. What the Fuck is this?

It was very firm to the touch. Like poking a baby's head.

It's maybe eight or ten inches wide. We were out walking on the beach just now, and found it. I'm thinking some kind of jelly fish.... But it was so dense.

And no, I didn't flip it over. Because Fuck That.

Sea life is not my bag but Google had this beached Cannonball Jelly. If it's firm to the touch it's probably very fond of you.

It's obviously a jellyfish that ate a baby's head.

Keep checking for the soft spot, then we'll know for sure.

Pick it up and squeeze it while rubbing it on your inner thigh.

Y'know, see if it's poisonous.

I, for one, welcome our gelatinous new overlord...

I'm envisioning a cocktail. You get these hand-blown glass receptacles, make ice shaped like the white part up there. Pour the liquor around the ice, and sprinkle the top with...I don't know...sauerkraut? We'll make millions!

This event made one of the national newspapers this morning.

I'm not sure if it's the same thing but thought you might like to have a look.

It was found down in Cornwall in SW England.

More pictures and text from a local newspaper here:

Barrel jellyfish still washing up on shoreline. Look at this River Fal monster

I don't know what this is, that's why I'm here.

This pic is supposedly Kansas, circa 1900. It's a water wagon. I don't know if the water is for the crop, the poor dumb animal working the crop, or the poor dumb bastard working the animals working the crop.

What the hell is that conglomeration of shit on the horse's back? Popdigr worked with horses and mules in his youth, and he don't got no clue what it is.

I left the pic big, so, apologies for that...

Yes, the crap on the horses is to drive off biting insects.
The guy in the middle is leaning on the handle of a pump. The elbow on the top of the pump might be an outlet, but could also be a vent so what I suspect is double pistons, can move freely.
The galvanized container to the right of the kid, looks like a potable water container for people.
If there's a water tank in the wagon, it can't be very big, with only two horses... even in Kansas.
Maybe it's just a pump, possibly with some hoses, to go where they need some water moved, like stock tanks or irrigation ditches.
