Well I started doing some math and it looks like your right.

The growth rate of the internet at large is 65% a year, ln(13/20)=L(1). While the growth cat death should be doubling every six months, ln(4)=L(1). So unless there is a large L for the cat death , which there may be (more information must be gathered), then the rate of death should out strip the rate of growth.
