Yup.

All the road signs are/were in Arabic.
Nobody I was shipped over there with could read Arabic, so it was "Hey, we're 10 minutes outside Squiggle."

Well if you're going to ship yourself over, make sure you poke some holes in the box.

BTW Jason, on your site you list the "CCR Vietnam War Song". Do you mean Fortunate Son?

Good luck mate. I spent 3 great years at Ft. Campbell myself. Great place to raise a family. Keep your head down and don't volunteer for anything.

Not a fan of the war (anymore), but I am a fan of those who are there doing their jobs. Blessings to you and yours, and my thanks for your service.

Good for you Ducky! I was sending stuff when I knew people there, but they're all home now.

I don't see any updates on his linked site. Guess they're keeping him busy.

Yeah, communication from over there is sketchy at best.

I am lucky if I get an email or sms a month

Stay safe amigo, hell you're gone and won't read this most likely. If you do read this, email me with your AKO addy and I'd like to keep in touch with ya that way.

Ducks, sure wish I'd have known you when I was there. I don't know what the heck those are, but they sound great! It would have been cool to tell my platoon mates where I got them from as well.

Ducks Nuts????? I would have had them all to myself.
