After everyone else was gone the other night, except me, D, and Merc...I kept getting booted from chat, even after I said "hey, how are you doing?" in an attempt to perhaps take the opportunity to give him one more chance to show me a human side.

No, it's better to keep booting me out. Underneath it all, he's a really good guy.

This crazy person is tired. Tired of lies, tired of back-stabbing, tired of trusting and getting hurt, tired of being discounted in the one place I always felt I could be myself, the place where I could talk about things and feel support.

Shawnee - don't let the bastard get you down. He's a bitter one-trick pony who, underneath all his hot air, is really a boring person. DO NOT let him get to you. I'm resolved - no matter what the bait, I'm not biting. There's no excurse for any conversation between merc and me - just do it that way. He is not worth dignifying with any answer at all from us.

I love you!

I know this. The strength of the pain comes from the preference of his brand of crazy over mine. I've said stupid things and hurt people. I've apologized.

I just don't think I have the energy anymore. The crowd roars.

right, I've apologized to people, too - if they don't accept it, that's their problem. Merc offers no apology -- just claims ignorance and refuses to see where he is wrong. I don't understand why that behavior gets a pass from some people either, but those that do pass on him aren't people I find I want to engage in anyway. I despise boring, selfish people. Just IGNORE them

Prior to this, Merc always seemed pretty decent to me. I mean he waded in with both feet, but did apologise afterwards, and that always impresses me. I made my peace with him, and just thought he was crass rather than deliberately hurtful.

Finding out he has you two on ignore bothers me.
Like Jim says - that's for pussies.
I do have a short fuse IRL, and judge people too harshly. But even I don't ignore people here very often, or certainly not for more than a day - esp not two class chicks like you. You're the Chrysler Building and the Empire State of the Cellar IMO!

I don't like to demonise posters. I feel like a bitch when I do. But this is getting a little old now.
Merc - be a man and just apologise. Fine, you didn't know. But you're the one making this a drama.

I would and do apologize. I did so that night. But it is obvious from this that it would fall on deaf ears. I put people on ignore for my sanity, not theirs.

Merc, you're a mystery to me.
I'd love to have a few drinks with you IRL, and yet so often here you write things that make me go GRRRRRRR.

You will be welcome. I puzzle over you, but the bottom line is I'd be glad for a chance to talk to 99.9% of Dwellars face to face. What we read on the Cellar can't ever be the whole story.

I'll pick you up on being mean to my girls though, don't you worry!

PS - talking bout picking up, if I have a car at the time, or insurance on Dads' (something we have been discussing) I'd be happy to pick you up from the airport. I know how disconcerting it is to arrive in another country - even one you've been to before - and have to travel onwards.

What?

What gives anyone the right to boot you from chat? The people in there weren't given the authority to do that, were they UT? What's up?!? Now I am curious........

also, to be clear.....being kicked out of chat doesn't hurt at all, and you can come right back in. even if you get banned, you just have to close your browser and come back with a different name.

also, you can type '/join Room name' and you will open a new room called "Room name" and then you can type /invite buddy and invite your buddies to your own private chat.
