Bruce, I know has the most comprehensive collections of doodads i've seen outside of a museum but what do the rest of you collect?
I'm an 80's child and have never really advanced. I collect any and all vinyl, mainly because I make bulk purchases to get at one or two specific albums which get played through, of course, 80's hi-fi equipment.
So, anything specific or was it all aired in the doodad thread?

And every now and again I'll get obsessively attached to something ... tv show or whatever, and get a bunch of related crap that I really don't need.

Anybody know what the asking price for a Xena Lunchbox is these days?

Except that the books are at the head of the list. Okay, maybe AFTER the ISP, but only sightly.

Clarification on Moose.

I do not currently have sufficient space available to collect actual moose. I collect an assortment of icons of moose including teeshirts, sweatshirts, stuffed animals, pictures, craft kits, keychains, ceramic figurines, action figures, coffee mugs, photographs, stickers, stationery, etc. etc. etc.

Marvin the Martian items. Like Wolf, i really don't have space to collect much more Marvin stuff. However, I think that this fact points out just how critical my lack of space really is since most Marvin stuff is relatively small.

To some extent, I also collect Parrish prints, Vargas prints, oil lamps and synthesizers. (side bar note: I *always* have more room for synthesizers, no matter how large, so if you have one or more you'd like to be rid of, I'm the guy to talk to).

Oh...and books and DVDs.

Do you only collect the Thermos™ Brand, or will any vacuum bottle do?

And yes, I collect both realistic and cartoon versions, including Bullwinkle, the Moose from Northern Exposure (deceased), Montgomery "Good News" Moose (from the briefly-lived "Get-Along Gang" that was supposed to teach cooperative behavior to amoral and out-of-control children in the 80s) and others. No, I do not have a Thidwick, but I know who he is.

The stuffed moose do include a Beanie Baby (one of four or five total that I own ... two moose, one shark, and the macaw. I'm not sure if I own the Rocket the Bluejay or if I just gave that one to a friend's kid), as well as a Gund moose.

I had tried collecting Kangaroos at one point, but that didn't really work out.

Do you only collect the Thermos™ Brand, or will any vacuum bottle do? I'm fond of glass interior, metal exteriors. I enjoy a variety of stopper technologies. Cups add points. I have some Aladdin.

It's probably just as well you skipped 'roo collection (we call 'em 'roos down under mate). As the second most popular tourism consumable there's thousands of almost identical variants on the market.

How do you do that elevated tm?

Character Map is our friend (the code is ALT-0153. Hold down the ALT key and while doing so type the 0153 on the numeric keypad.)

The trademark sign is one of the few codes I have memorized, or can fumble around to reproduce, and it's all The Cellar's fault, since I had to spell Asshat™ properly ... I also use the occasional M-dash, degree mark, and bold dot.

It's probably just as well you skipped 'roo collection (we call 'em 'roos down under mate). As the second most popular tourism consumable there's thousands of almost identical variants on the market.

They are only widely available in a store near YOU. 'Roos never quite took off in the US as a collectible like a lot of other creatures like Unicorns, Dolphins, and Dragons.
