Jan 14, 2010: Thai Street Sundaes
Evidently Thailand has a lot of food vendors on the streets, so you would expect to find a big variety.
The best way to success in a crowded market is to come up with a new wrinkle, something different. How about an ice cream sundae on a hot dog bun? Quote:

We drove around Sicily for a few summer weeks in 2003. Ice cream in a soft sweet roll (a bit like brioche) was a pretty common snack. We thought it was a great idea - anything that melts soaks into the bun instead of dripping down the cone, and you could also munch into ice cream without eating the bun if you wanted to, which you can't do with a cone. Of course it's not soft-serve style ice cream, but the sort you scoop out in a ball. I think I will suggest this idea to some of the local places. It was 40C here on Monday, and summer ain't over yet.

I'm sorry, I cannot give my name to that.
It looks grim even without the peanut butter idea. Sandy's experience sounds much nicer.

On the boardwalk, they sell ice cream in a waffle sandwhich.

Bangkok now has lots of unhappy cub scouts who wanted to enjoy fire-roasted hot dogs on their weekend camping trip. Thanks to those selfish street vendors, the supermarkets have plenty of hot dogs, but no buns to put them in.
Won't someone please think of the children?!? |

OK Nice idea but lowly hot dog buns? It could have been an exotic looking concoction but in the hierarchy of bread, hot dog buns rank at the "LaBrea tarpits" level.

Well you can, but you'll probably squash it and you might get crumbs in your hoo-hah

Yabut, this ain't no gourmet restaurant. This is a street vendor needing something cheap to hold up the ice cream just long enough for you to stuff your face. No tableware... in fact no table. By the time you get down to the bun, should you choose to eat it, it'll taste like melted ice cream and sweetened milk. :p

I'm sorry, but, is that corn? I'd pay a goodly amount of money to see someone walk into the local Baskin-Robbins and ask for a sundae, and then ask "Do you have corn?".
I once knew a chick with a crumby hoo-hah...
