Yeah, Pee Wee's PH made much more sense if you saw the adult version of the show which he did much earlier. PWPH was an adult show that happened to be interesting to kids, and so became subversive in a way, like the Looney Toons cartoons. Pee Wee was an awesome character before the Playhouse.

Smerconish? The guy who does editorials on KYW?
I remember recently he had one where he claimed that cross-burning wasn't free speech so it was OK to ban it. He compared it to setting up a soap box outside Independence Hall, which was free speech. My first response was to write to him "I'd like to see you try to set up that soap box outside Independence Hall nowadays... you'll get shot". I actually did write to him along those lines not quite as nasty. |
