Nice dog but an even NICER lap!

(and, yeah, stewed tomatoes with crutons is delish!)

Definitely a midwest thing. The stewed tom's have to be very, very hot. It's really good with a juicy filet mignon and hash browns. Mmmmmmmmmmm! I'm worried about myself. I've never, ever been this into food as I am now. It's disturbing. Food was always the enemy before and I ate it only to see how few calories I could consume. My eye always went to the low-fat salad and steamed, no butter, veggie plate. Now I dream of sour cream, cheese, mayonnaise and buttery dishes. Must get self to Jenny Craig before all is lost.

The burnt ones are yummier. I prize them.

One of the local pretzel companies sells their oopses. "Special Darks" ... entire bag of crispy, burnt pretzel goodness.

You can taste now, and you have this thing that you'd been missing called an appetite ...

Have you started putting 4-5 teaspoons of sugar on your already sugar-coated cereal yet?

Not yet, but I did buy two bags of fun-sized heath and snickers bars. I'm dipping them in Cheesecake flavored Philly Cream Cheese Overcome my addiction only to die of heart disease. Pity.

I'm working my ass off at the animal shelter. Literally. I work there from 8-1 most days cleaning, scrubbing, mopping, swabbing, sweeping, hauling, lugging and walking. Sometimes I even get to play with the kitties! That's the reward.
