What do your co workers call you?
I just found out what my co workers have been calling me or think about me. It came as a shock although I have all my life tried to live down my baby face. ( which by the way is aging regardless)
I have been called 'conservative' and well spoken. gawd I am in shock.....when on the inside I feel like I did as a child. Carefree as ever. ok now people what do your co workers say about you??? ps. I've always wanted to be edgy and cool or sophisticated. Now I know I am just a short pudgy dork. I thought I hid it so well :P Last edited by skysidhe; 07-07-2007 at 01:46 PM. For all the things that office people say about one another, that's a fairly good set of things to be called.

thank you. I thought the same thing but .....then I have this pagan heart.
ok so what have people said about you that came as a shock? Like I think you are funny at times. Do you see yourself as funny? oh and that is another on I hear is I can be funny but I am not really. Probably a goofy kind of funny. |

Thanks. I always hope I'm funny, but I'm certain I come across as trying too hard. My main trait is that I'm... bashful.

Not sure about co-workers, but my party comrades seem to think I like a fight. Which I do. They also think I am incredibly ambitious, which I am not. My friends know this, but comrades at more of a distance think much of what I do is done with an ulterior motive (i.e preparing ground for/getting myself well placed for a further political career). That's fine. I don't mind them thinking that.
I think when I was working I was viewed as slightly strange, maybe a little eccentric and possibly a snob. I was also generally the one that co-workers wanted with them if they needed a little back-up in contentious staff meetings, or visits to upper management. So....up for a scrap, seems a common theme:P Which is of course just a polite way of saying gobby cow. One thing I was fairly well-known for at work was an absolute refusal to get drawn into the nastier side of office politics and a consistent attempt to retain friends in the different camps. People eventually gave up trying to bad mouth colleagues to me. Now...amongst my comrades in the party I find myself in a deeply factional situation and have pretty much thrown myself into the war. So people who are in the party but not really involved at that level see me as a deeply divisive person who is far too ready to argue aggressively against the [seemingly] reasonable arguments of fellow comrades [opposing faction members]. Quite a shift of perception :P Last edited by DanaC; 07-07-2007 at 02:44 PM. |

@ UT. still waters run deep I always say.
@Dana..lol @ gobbly cow You have given me an insightful glimpse though. Your thoughts are interesting. I say an ambitious someone that has your back is so prefered over an ambitious someone who will stab you in the back. We all have met those. I'm glad there are people like you to balance things out. Nice to know that ying and yang principle is working. |

Most of my coworkers refer to me as the smiley one. I'm known for my good cheer and also for the fact that I always have the neatest desk in the place. I'm also known for being the most organized and pedantic staff member because I am a stickler for following procedures.
I like this reputation because it is what I am. It doesn't surprise me at all.

My coworkers refer to me as Lord Terry, Master of the Universe. I am approached with fear and reverence. You will all come to fear me, and call me master!!!
Uh Oh Lady Keryx, says I have to cum inside and service her greatness.

When I was working, they called me "hard worker" and that I was "resourceful."
Now that I don't work, anymore, they probably call me a lot of things I don't want to know about. |

When I had co-workers, I was 'the bitch' (as in bitching about stuff; not in the prison sense of the word).
I was the one who got on everyone to set up their files and layouts right. We worked on really tight schedules and had to randomly edit each others' work, so when folks threw protocol out the window, it just made things harder for everybody. It was completely out in the open that I was known as 'the bitch' (two of my co-workers have been my best friends for years, and weren't shy about letting me know their feelings), but I didn't care as long as we didn't have to stay late for hours and fix something stupid. After I left the company, one of them took on the role. |
