Trick or Treat

Halloween is my favourite time of year besides Christmas. Making our own costumes and heading out to the 'richie' neighborhoods who gave out the good candy. Meeting up with friends along the way. It was one of the few nights where curfews didn't matter to our parents. Those little plastic pumpkins were replaced with an old pillow case. I was a hobo for at least 3 years in a row, then a ghost, cowgirl, a witch, clown, raggedy ann and a ladybug. Then to come home and have to hide everything from my brother-he was such a sneak! fun times

My hub got all pissed off this morning when he came from the post office with a package. The package proclaimed it was a Halloween costume and he could not for the life of him figure out why I would waste money on costume. Well duh they put the package in the wrong box!

We don't do it the same over here.
Although the retail trade keep pushing and pushing it.

We live on a dark path with only one streetlight - and that dimmed because it's right in front of a house. The path to our house isn't long but a hedge deliberately obscures the house and we miss casual Trick or Treaters.

And I like them.
This year I'm pretty sure I've lost my eyeball lights, because Diz has smacked them about so much. My bad, I should have tidied them when I found one (of the casings) in his water bowl!

I have a some geegaws from the last few years and picked up a few from Poundland.
One especially which reads "Little Monsters Welcome Here". But again, unless the children's 'rents have torches even that might be missed.

Mum can buy the choccies.
She enjoys it too. And she's the one who snaffles the leftovers
