for me, the satisfaction of trading spaces comes from the secret hope that at the end of the show, someone will be crying.
for casey, it seems she likes the show because she can sit and say "i could have done that much better!" has anyone else seen the episode where they glued hay to the wall? i liked it because the homeowner was visibly upset, which is what they deserved. i read somewhere that none of the 'designers' on the show are professionally trained, but i dont remember where and cant back it up. wait... heres an article, though not quite as damning as the one i remember reading. ~james |

You know, you're right.
I had totally missed the disappearance of badly filmed opera from A&E. But seriously, reruns of Murder, She Wrote isn't art?

The only reason I watch Trading Spaces (when the wife already has it on, of course) is because that host chick dresses like a ho sometimes and likes to bend over while she "helps". Thanks for the additional info on the Tivo UT. It does sound much more useful than I realized. |

If you like that you should watch Ground Force on BBC America . Look for the big red head named Charlie Dimmoc

It will find keywords, but we need a bunch of honest keyword writers.

Slashdot reports on a new product, Telly (what's with these names?) that runs a Linux-based PVR out-of-the-box.
It comes with an 80 GB hard drive, keyboard, and IR remote; plus it can download program guides for free (no subscription required), but its $899 price tag seems a little steep. |

Interesting.... the tivo itself runs Linux, for those who didn't know. This telly does a lot of stuff the tivo doesn't... audio files, networking, etc. But even so, I agree, $899 seems steep.

If by "seems", you mean "is", and if by "steep", you mean "fucking outrageously expensive", then yes, $899 seems steep.
