September 16, 2006: Python is full

This one has made the rounds this week. This python was noticed in the middle of the road in the Malaysian village of Kampung Jabor. The snake was six metres long and weighed 90kg, but it was so full that it was easy for the local firemen to catch.

Why was it so full? Because it had eaten a pregnant ewe.

eew.

With the rope around it's neck, it can't throw the sheep back up(out?) to make itself mobile again. Left undisturbed, the snake would have just lay there digesting until the Superbowl.

Shows what geek I am... I thought this was going to be some kind of screed against the scripting language.

Are those the sheep's feet sticking out of its mouth?

I think those are actually the two halves of the lower jaw, connected by ligaments in the skull structure.

Really, I thought they were the rear feet of the sheep. Hmmm, I see what you mean.
Well, if the sheep in down the hatch why would the mouth still be disjointed?
Ah, maybe because of the hangman's noose around the neck.

Or perhaps it broke it's jaw in the process of getting it's mouth around the ewe

Oh that is fucking gross!

You do know that the "hangman's noose" is how the monster was captured? If it had been left on the road it would obstruct traffic. It wouldn't just be run over- the thing is huge! Six meteres long and as tall as the thing it just swallowed, it would take one of those jeeps they use to climb mountains (or whatever it is they use those jeeps for) just to get over it.

methinks....

it's a moot point re: "whether or not it will get run over".

Without any link to an article, etc, it's hard to know for certain, but I would guess that it's already been killed, etc...

Otherwise, how would they know that ewe was *pregnant*? (considering they said someone stumbled across the snake in this state....)

There is a link to the article: This one and quite a few others show up when you google the words "Python swallows pregnant ewe"
