It's about time you finally registered, Liss. Now, if you would just press ctrl, shift, alt, and F10, the spy ware dashboard we use to monitor lurkers will come up. Next, go to tools, options, and click the tab for Sites. Select cellar.org, and enter your log in info. When prompted, agree to the terms and conditions, recite the cellar Oath, and click the "STOP MONITORING" button.

Oh, and that's a very nice collection of tea kettle cozies you've got pictures of in the Yarn Barn file on drive E:

Did you make them all? Do you sell them? How much to have one shipped to the Norristown Mental Hospital? (Asking for a friend)

Not to mention the fact that they've refused to use the word "fried" in over a decade. I remember the first time I heard an ad claiming that KFC stood for "Kitchen-Fresh Chicken(!)" Made me scream at the radio in fury.

Liss, this is my friend, Clodfobble. She talks to the radio. She wants a pink cozy.

Is that one of those new euphemisms you were asking for?

here I'm just goofing, trying to freak out the lurker by pretending that I have somehow installed spy software on her computer. not very funny on it's own. mildly amusing because of the overblown 'jim is freaked out by / askeered of lurkers meme. meh

so now I go further into the gag, pretending that I have been browsing her computer, where I've seen jpegs of many tea kettle cozies on her E drive.
- still not terribly funny....but bear with me... it's coming

ok, so here, I wrap it all up. The request to have them shipped to a mental facility refers to fargon's introducing himself as crazy to another newb a coupe days ago. I pretend that it's for a 'friend' which is to say, I'm the crazy one.... but then...wolf worked in a mental hosp in Norristown, so maybe i'm talking about her... and limey knits, so maybe it's her....

so, while it's technically funny...it's really only about a 6 or 7.

now, when YOU mention screaming at a radio....

this is where the joke goes from good to great.

NOW, I act like there REALLY WAS a crazy friend, and you're her!

the color of the cozy is just a red herring.

er. pink ... herring....

no?

I'm still back in layering 101 with stuff like:

What did Tarzan say when he saw a herd of elephants come charging down the side of the hill?

"Hello!"

What did Tarzan say when he saw a herd of elephants come charging down the side of the hill and they were all wearing sunglasses?

Nothing, he didn't recognize them.

What's the difference between elephant skin and an orange peel?

The color.

What did Tarzan say when he saw a bunch of oranges come rolling down the side side of the hill?

"Hello!" ... He was color blind.

Pah. Wait till you see. That guy didn't even get a white coat. I photo shopped my beard to see what it would look like if I trimmed it to be like the colonel. I'm still on the fence about it. .

Yes, it was kind of stoned out last night.
