I was kidding Ali. Just not to my taste, no deeper meaning than that. I don't particularly like any of the characters, nor do I relate to the story lines that I've seen. I don't find them interesting or attractive - there just isn't anything there for me to watch.
Lemme ask you this - Is that show respective of the way women think, act, what they believe, or anything?

I don't watch a lot of tv so I don't really have that much of a perspective either.

As I mentioned before, I do think it covers issues women think about, and also which are part of most social discourse with regard to women in western society.

The women on the show are deliberate sterotypes which gives an interesting perspective on most of the discussions between the characters. You get the reaction from several different perspectives which I believe is meant to make you consider your own perspective on these issues, or perhaps be more understanding of other points of view. Of course the show is meant to be entertaining as well, but I think it's the fact that many/most women can relate to the issues covered in the show which made it so popular, and still is.

okie dokie. I'm a) not a woman, b) don't find it interesting and c) don't watch that much tv. So its pretty low on my radar. When I do watch, I prefer the history channel, discovery, sports or HGTV. More reality type stuff. If I can't find anything there, I may watch a movie, but thats about as far as I go.

Of course, tits only.
They made everything in their shallow vapid lives a drama. Going to the corner for a paper became a major production, because the whole world revolved around them. They'd have been furious that the twin towers collapsing got dust on their shoes, making them late for lunch.

I know a couple guys who call her that, or 'horseface' along with Julia Roberts....I do give SJP credit as I recently heard she started up a clothing line where she said she doesn't believe a sweater should cost more than groceries. Pretty cool, I thought....especially since some sweaters her character wears costs more than my paycheck.

It taught us that stories about rich, shallow, materialistic women aren't interesting?

I speak from only ever having seen the movie. I hear the TV series was less disgusting.

If you hadn't watched the series, I don't think the movie would have really meat that much.

The series was much better imo.

I enjoyed the earlier episodes of the series. In particular, I liked the arc where Mr Big and Carrie first got together. It wore pretty damn thin once you got used to the novelty of it all, though.

All the women are hot as fuck, though, IMHO.
