Well they're very fast, then. I can leave a room for 15 minutes and find new ones when I get back.

I observed that phenomenon too. Usually after I'd done all the washing and drying up in the staff kitchen.
I'd go back in to make a cup of tea 15 minutes later and lo and behold there were new dirty ones all over the place.

My unexplained mysteries happen when I am asleep/ just waking.
I am occasionally woken by the bed shaking, by someone shaking me awake, by someone calling (even shouting) my name or knocking on my door. None of these things have actually occurred.

Rather than believe I am the suject of a haunting, possession or poltergeist I accept that in my half-awake state I am simply confused or subject to mixed signals between my brain and my body. Sometimes I decide my brain is deliberately playing tricks on me because it doesn't like the fact I'm sleeping alone, but that's even more fanciful than ghosties

Every New Year's Eve, Mrs. Z has confetti glitter poppers for the kids to pull. The glitter confetti gets everywhere. I vacuum them up the next day - and I'm very thorough. Even so, we'll be finding glitter confetti around the house for the rest of the year.

So the mystery is this: Are they all hiding somewhere, or is there just a mating pair and we're finding the offspring?
You've got to break their life cycle. Try a product with a CGR (confetti Growth Regulator)

There have been no conclusive studies! You must not let fear overcome rationality here.

When it comes to man-boobs, I'm a precautionary principle kinda guy.
