Addie looks like she's having the most fun time.


That's it right there. That's the stuff you carry with you always. Time stretching out and all the world yours. Brother and sister at your back, Dad tending the fire. She's storing up adventures to remember.

I can still conjure those times of adventure with me, Mum and my bro. And midnight park walks with Dad, spotting owls and hedgehogs.

Open a dictionary and look under the word 'secure' and there should be a picture of a small child surrounded by attentive siblings and fun parents. That pic, up there in fact.
